Basically in any DD, not only torp DDs. If you spot it, it smokes up, activates hydro and you will not be able to do anything. In a gunboat with hydro, like Sherman or Groningen you could push, but it's still 2km until you get it into hydro and you will take a lot of damage before that.
They will more than likely Nerf The ship and bring the Destroyer will be in line with the hoffman. The smoke can be nerf to short duration smoke. If they want to break the DD, they will give it a crawling smoke much like the Yolo milio and give it 7km range identical to Paolo Emilio with the same amount of time

If someone tried to get a DD in game with a 7km radar that lasts 2 mins, it would be the most busted DD in game bar none. Hydro is better than radar as it spots subs. Yet because it's hydro, this thing is OK. It makes all other DDs pointless. This is busted, and game breaking. No point ever playing a DD again while this exists
But that thing should be just Z-52 with better guns, more HP and better torps. Not some OP bullshit with 7km hydro. It does not work like hydro any more but just like permanent radar with that 7km range. You can at least run from smaland cos its radar does not last forever, you can torp him, your team can smash him cos he has no smoke...but nope not with this op shit. It's just a crutch for idiots who can't play DDs and need op shit. But most super DD players are noobs anyway, so hopefully it won't matter too much.
@@vitezslavlorenc3479 It only works if Z-57 holds back its hydro until spotted. Otherwise better concealed DDs simply get "outspotted" at 7 km but not yet trapped. Knowing the average DD player, not to even mind the average supership player, most players will run around with the hydro active on cooldown. In essence, imo this version of Z-57 will be busted in the hands of a capable player, but just another DD dying to all those ships with radar in the hands of 95% of this playerbase. Honestly i dont think it is going to be much of an issue. Just the newest "ship OP, every other ship obsolete, game dead, reeeeeeee" bait in a long history of rage bait drama.
