Just an idea, what i learned to do years ago, when making biscuits is put a stick of butter in the freezer about 20-30 min before making biscuits, then use a cheese grater and grate the butter stick and then add to the flour and blend together with hands, only takes like 2 minutes extra and makes alot better finished product with butter blended evenly and thoroughly. But it makes it easier on me cause we are a larege family, so our recipe for biscuits is double the size of yours, also we pnly use Caputo red 00 flour, for all baking, like biscuits, pizza, breads etc, night and day different from normal store flour, tastes way better and doesnt leave you with the bloaded feeling that breads, bicuits and pizza typically does. It is pricier though, but worth it

I am a missionary in the Philippines. We dont have butter milk i make my own. I make my own breakfast sausage from ground pork. My wife daughter and granddaughter ask for this once a week. Oh yes so good.
I have 2 Hot Italian sausages left. Those will have to do. I think it will be awesome. Maybe I will serve this with a little side of sliced tomatoes and fresh basil chiffonade. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

You’re eating them all wrong, I’ve eaten this meal for 25 years now you have to split your biscuit in half, make sure both insides are facing up and pour that gravy all over. Dope vid AB
How did you get those biscuits to have layers, only way I can get that is if I buy grands layer biscuits 😂. Lived in Alabama and Georgia in the military never had sausage gravy with onions in it, definitely going to try that.
