I use these sausage too. I cook a whole box at a time and my husband eats on it all week. He’s retired and at home, I’m still working 6 days a week. I scramble him eggs on Sunday and fry up his sausage. He’s on his own for his lunch. Usually leftovers. I love biscuits and gravy and love leftover gravy to go on a baked potato for my lunch. Since it’s 4:00am I’m ready for breakfast too. You have a blessed day. Do something special for yourself… ❤❤ I love to really brown my flour sometimes…

Both of my Grandmothers used real lard to make there biscuits. Since they don’t make the brands they used anymore and the brand I can buy locally isn’t good I use real salted butter. Everybody loves them and says they taste just like there Grandmothers made.
Hello was watching U tube videos today and happen to come across yours and this was since 11:am and it is almost 8 p.m. and have love watching all day and still watching pause for a few minutes to wash and soak some collards in vinegar and salt so I can finish washing I am so glued to the TV watching you just suddenly felt a woman that have the same passion as I do love your kitchen tried to even look for your electric pepper and salt grinders but couldn't find them and also Iam on a fixed income and head of my household

That looks so good I can almost smell it!! I am from the south and know how to make gravy as well. It doesn't matter if it is bacon or sausage gravy. You have to toast that flour until it starts to brown or your gravy will taste like raw flour/paste. You can smell when it is toasted. It smells so good! Then put in your milk and stir as it thickens! This lady KNOWS biscuits and gravy!!!

I am probably the only Southerner who doesn't like biscuits and gravy. To me it is too thick and heavy. My favorite biscuit dish is red eye gravy over diced tomatoes and homemade biscuits. Oh my goodness finally someone who cooks gravy like my Grandma 🥰 I refuse to eat biscuits & gravy in a restaurant because it just has no taste except like uncooked flour, yuck. My grandma taught me that you have to cook that flour until it’s cooked all that flour taste out of it & it’s starting to brown. She used to say “you’ve got to cook it till it’s almost gonna burn, but don’t burn it because then it’s ruined!” She would always giggle after saying that. She was absolutely the best cook ever & I’ve never had cooking as good as hers since she passed. The only things I can make that actually taste like hers is biscuits & gravy, coconut cake & her delicious strawberry pie. She made her own glaze for the pie & you can’t buy a glaze in the store that tastes as amazing as her homemade. You remind me so much of her, your southern charm & everything. I’m so glad I found your TH-cam channel. ♥️♥️♥️

I'm new to your channel. I found it Saturday 10/28 2023. I make homemade biscuits a lot, and one of the easiest biscuits to make is cream biscuits. The most important thing to making biscuits is White Lily Flour. Hello to you from Athens Tennessee.
We always used the store bought or Bisquick and mom used Wondra flour for the gravy. I like my gravy a little brown from the grease. That’s what I like, just like yours with those changes. Mom made the best pork chops and gravy with rice or potatoes!
My mama could make the prettiest biscuits pinching them off and rolling in her palm you ever seen. I can't...lol...but she could. Yours look pretty too Karen....some good tips about the sausage too....wish I was there to share them with you....I can just smell how good your kitchen had to smell with cooking that breakfast. I usually put a little bit of finely diced onion in with my sausage just for some added flavor. Not much onion......maybe a tablespoon of finely diced will do it.
Was looking around TH-cam for sausage gravy recipes and found yours , yours was one who made fresh homemade biscuits and gravy most of the others used canned biscuits ( which is a turn off to me ) and you did all of that in this one video, high five to you. Larry
