not in the biggest maker game for Mario Mario Multiverse where we have all styles all power-ups in all styles and new styles and new looking enemies and enemies from one style going to all styles
I really hoped that they would implement the blue shell it’s my favorite power up 😞 it still looks pretty dope tho

Maybe it will happen... The blue shell and the penguin suit are both amazing power-ups, so I hope it will happen.
The blue shell only appeared in new super mario ds and is not as cool as most of the ones already in game, nintendo is done with SMM2 and unless they change their minds, everything will stay the same.

Nintendo shouldn’t freak out about copyright and team up with the person who made this, it’s really awesome and I’m surprised that Nintendo isn’t actually doing this
I’m not surprised, because Nintendo is just that company and I’m ok with it but it’s not like they are Sega
Sad thing is that Nintendo is probably gonna shut down this fan game if it ever gets in the way of Mario Maker 3, when it gets announced in the next couple of years of course. Nintendo likes to shutdown fan games that get in their way (whether they are good or bad) Mario Maker is just way to get rid of the fan games for Mario but not their other series. I can understand why they would shut down the fan made M2 remake & Pokémon Uranium since those would have gotten in the way of sales but shutting them down is pretty harsh...

hey, im another beta tester for this game, dont believe that this is an advanced mario maker, it has new functions like powerups, custom pixel art, off grid, anything in blocks, etc, but in reality the game is and will likely continue to be in a beta state. The engine is definitely less stable, the game is very glitchy and unclean. This has many new and different features than mario maker but it has many things missing or hard to use (for me it was tracks being missing that was problematic). The game is a good game, but its not really better than SMM2 for having powerups, because there are various downsides and the game isn't nearly as complex. Once the public release comes out, I hope you guys enjoy it though.

In the original super mario brothers for the nes, the spring would shoot you straight up in the air past the screen for a few seconds. So high, you could float past sections of the level before he comes back down again. The small springs from the original super mario world while makes you jump higher, never to an incredible height as the other spring usually. So, my guess is the major height differences never was incorporated into the big spring in these mods/newer mario games/smm2.

1:18 that's probably because it would crash your game if you didn't have spin jumping animations/sprites for giant mario. for example, in smb3, you can't slide with a certain suit if you try to do it normally for some reason (I forgot what the suit is called). but, if you equip the suit while sliding, the sliding sprite for the suit is shown. the sprites were there just in case the player uses that method. if those sprites weren't there, the game would crash.

If you do SMW style, can you make sure the physics will follow the SNES SMW physics?
For example, in original SMW, Mario initially only accelerates to speed 36, and after a short while, the speed jumps to 48. But in Mario Maker 2, Mario accelerates smoothly from 0 to 48, which violates SMW physics.
Also, Mario in Mario Maker 2 SMW style seems to have smaller acceleration than Mario in original SMW. I am not referring to top speed. I am referring to acceleration.

At 4:31 it says "big springs bounce Mario higher than small springs" but at 5:02 it says "busted" when it showed that the big spring bounced Mario to the top and the little spring bounced Mario almost to the top.
Actually if you listen closely, Mario hits the ceiling when bouncing off the small spring. You can’t hear the sound when he jumps off the big spring

I wish the mega mushroom was in Mario Maker 2. We did get a mushroom like it but that mushroom if you get hit you lose it it's not like the mega mushroom where you can plow through everything.
