EXACTLY what i wanted
One minor bug they could fix with kill-by-jumping-on-it enemies is that you and it gains 1 second of invincibility when you uncapture the enemy
You can actually play this, I think the download link is in the desription.
the reason this happens is so you don't die on impact

I think the 8-bit covers could have had more effort put into it. Sometimes, the bass is just identical to the melody. I hope this game will be developed further, it looks very fun!
This looks like a really fun hack! But a few things I would recommend are:
Make Cappy bigger so you can easily see him.
Add some sound effects for throwing and capturing.
Make a few custom sprites for captured enemies.
That’s it.
If you want those to be added you should ask alesan99 instead because he is the creator of the mod
its not a hack, its mari0: alesans entities mod, its a fangame
also custom sprites for captured enemies might be weird because custom enemies will be weird since they wont have a sprite because the player makes them

There is also an op glitch i discovered, i call it capflip.
How to do it? Jump and then throw cappy at the same time, you should bounce really up high, keep in mind you have to jump first
Good thing that this time mario losses his hat when he throws it
Now this show is complete with Cappy in the gang
So we aren't going to talk about the fact that mario put the shell on his head, then threw the cap, making the shell disappear, only for it to reappear when the cap comes back? And when he captured the other shell, the other shell was still on his head when he came out it.

Screen Wrapping is Gonna Be The BEST Feature If Nintendo Added It To Mario Maker 3, And Horizontal Levels Will Use Screen Wrapping In Pits. This is The Biggest Feature That It Blows My Mind Nintendo Didn't Added It To Mario Maker, Especially For Vertical And Kaizo Levels. I Wish And Dream For That, Smashy. But We'll Hope.

Here's a fun fact:
In SMO, you can't capture Koopa Troopas, Boos, Stretches, Bob-ombs, Mini Goombas, Dry Bones, Spinies, Spike Tops, Or Thwomps. And the only ones of those even in the game in the first place are Mini Goombas (who get killed by Cappy upon being hit) and Koopas (if you count NPCs).

Look, Smashy. If Nintendo Adds A Mario Odyssey Style And Use The Capture Mechanic, I Think To Capture, You Need To Press The ZL Trigger Button. Maybe To Jump While In The Capture State, You Need To Press The A Button. Maybe To Return To The Normal State, You Need To Press The B Button. To Run As A Bob Omb, Hold The Y Button And If You Wanna Explode, Press The X Button. To Rotate, Use The Right Stick. I Think This Makes It Easier To Progress In Crazy Levels. Spinning is Mapped To The ZR Trigger Button, To Up Throw, Push Up On The Left Stick And Press The ZL Trigger Button. To Down Throw, Push Down On The Left Stick And Press The ZL Trigger Button. To Spin Throw, Press The ZR Trigger Button And Press The ZL Trigger Button And The Spin Throw is Only Used To Kill Enemies And Not Capture. I'm Tired To List Other Control Options And Its Mapping Button Things But Maybe I'm Lucky And The Odyssey Moveset is Similar To My Moveset. At Least In 2D.
This is a very interesting proof of concept. :)
