Actually it could Nintendo just didn't know the NES's full capabilities at the time. And Nintendo didn't have enough storage to put Yoshi in SMB3 after everything Nintendo put into SMB3

@@uisonic1yt357 you didn't get it, smm said that yoshi could also have been in smb3, but it didn't have enough space since nintendo made shit ton of things for smb3, and yoshi was for the first mario bros game, but the NES didn't have that much capacity at the time.
Yo there was a full-on port of Mario World on the NES made by bootleggers that is about the same size as Mario 1 and has Yoshi fully functional.

I always find it funny when a fan project out performs an official product.
Well, I don't think it does. At all. MM2 has much more possibilities, other game styles, the Super World system... Mario Multiverse does have a bit more power-ups, but in the end, I think it is more interesting to build and create a level in SMM2. And finally, the fact that all gamestyles are the same, except for visuals is just a shame. It removes the interest of changing game styles to make original levels. Multiverse does some things that the official product does not, but in the end, it is still just a fangame, which lacks money and time to make the whole thing more balanced, beautiful and interesting.

@@CassiusStelar I didn't say no fan games are‚ I said this one is not as much as MM2. But fangames can of course be incredibly good and sometimes better than the base material (numerous Pokemon fan games‚ for example‚ are excellent). SRB2 is excellent‚ but it also is 20 years old. It has been improved multiple times to reach where it is now. Multiverse could eventually be much better than MM2‚ but right now‚ it is still too immature.

All course elements are in all game styles in this game. No games have different physics in Multiverse. They all preform the same as the other, only that they all look different.

When ducking in the hammer suit, Mario was in a shell and could block fireballs from piranha plants in SMB3 if I remember correctly, is that still true?
Myth, if Mario spin jumps while he has the penguin suit or ice flower, he will shoot ice on both sides like the fire flower. Also I love the Mario multiverse content and keep up the good work!
