I came back because I wanted to also comment on the instrumental aspects of this performance. First Bob’s beautiful acoustic guitar and then Bucky Baxter on that pedal steel. Also the organ’s low consistent drone while he plays so beautifully. The entire combination of instrument sound is just so exceptional! 💎
Completely agree with you Nissi, this instrumental version from the unplugged session is great ❤❤! And Bob's is not too bad, although it was not his best years vocally 😉😉!
@@rb6338 😉I think you are not serious about Bobs vocals! He sounds way too good vocally as far I'm concerned! Oh Gosh listening to this again is an ocean of emotion! 🌊🌊🌊🌊
For some reason think it would be sooo nice to have a long slow dance with the person i love on this incredible beautiful song 🥰, thank you for all these treats!! 🙏💜 and what a great picture !!!
Dylan transforms this beautiful song with a spiritual warmth as lovely as any hymn. He makes it even more beautiful than the original. Thus achieving the impossible. Thank you so much for posting.
Perfection! This is the most beautiful and moving rendition I have ever heard of this song! Bob flings your heart up to the stars and it bursts open and rains fireworks with this one. ❤💔✨✨✨✨✨✨❤️🔥
This is the Sophie B. Hawkins arrangement that she played on her debut album and at the BobFest. Unfortunately she came on before the cameras started rolling. It's one of my favorite cover versions of all time
Musicians: Bob Dylan -Vocal, Guitar Bucky Baxter -Pedal Steel Tony Garnier - Contrabass John Jackson - Guitar Brendan O'Brien - Organ Winston Watson - Drums
@@johndisalvo6283 🙌Okay calm down! 😊 I got the musician list from an archivists page and I guess they didn't know the Junior part either. I'll try to remember for future lists because I love the late Winston Watson Jr. 🕯️🕊️

I would add to your list of favorite versions - a short partial take at MTV that has sound and visuals that are far from perfect. "BOB DYLAN 1994 MTV Rehearsals - I want You (Take 1)" It is this take that I will always see and hear in my mind.

I think you are right Nissi. Bob is an actor. Uses allways the voice that the song needs on that particular day and arrangement.
