  • We're thrilled to bring to you part I of our visit to the fantastic 1879 Anglo-Zulu War Exhibition 'Clash Of Empires' located at the Royal Philatelic Society in London. Our Militaria Specialist, Matthew Tredwen, meets with co-curator of this exciting exhibition, Alex Haimann, for a chat about the display! We'll find out how Alex got into collecting and take a closer look at some of the items on show until the 31st July 2023!

    During the 1940s I spoke to an old man at the place the Zulus called "kwa Zimu" - the place of Jim (Jim O'Rourke). He carried his father's sleeping mat and food. He told me that he ran away because the red soldiers were killing them, but he carried his father's spirit home on a certain twig.
