I might be economical to develop your own gel recipe. You could probably afford to make several at a time. Some leftover BBQ beef rib bone molded into the gel would be bad to the bone. PS I wrote this before I watched the creamed corn headshot. I guess you got that covered. Welcome to Idaho.

Pssst...solid brass slugs have been around since at least the 1920's. Highly effective in 30-06 against bear and moose. The tungsten and brass slug in a 12ga is a newish thing; though not exactly revolutionary.
Greg and the Rubber Heads was the name of our 80's polka thrash brass harmonic symphony. We broke up when our backup singers, the Petals left and then our carbide core left in a hurry leaving us a shell of what we once were.
Hey I work for a high tech data company and sometimes I get my internet via 2 recycled soup cans and some fishing line made from recycled water bottles. It is really encouraging when I can hear the 300 baud modem scream as it negotiates with the converted calculator in the hut next door.

This slug seems like more of an all-purpose slug, good on barriers, good on soft targets, good on armor. You could have a similar slug just with the tungsten carbide swapped out for hard cast lead to reduce cost.

It's always great to see OG as the guest shooter and of course there have been a few imitations but "there can only be one" truly authentic OG finger wiggle . I'm sure OG will make appearances as often as circumstance permits & hopefully the move won't be too stressful . The machinist who donated these slugs certainly pulled out the stops engineering them & that tungsten core just makes even more exotic , well made & well done . I'd say You did a great job of guesstimating the load for those rounds they were pretty accurate compared to some of the creations that have tortured shooters shoulders over the years . My nephew lived out there in Idaho for ten years and and southwest area in summer would get to 104 to 110 most of the time Middleton, then he was in Boise for 4 years, then moved to Moscow Idaho , then came back to michigan to help his sister after her back surgery.

The reloader has really impressed me. Talking to folks who know this stuff they told me how tricky this is, and how talented you are. Great stuff! and I am wiring some #4 buck together for the home.
