- I BOUGHT A CAGIVA MITO 125CC IT TO ME IS THE BEST 125CC 2 STROKE OUT THERE AVAILABLE TO BUY, I KEPT THIS FOR AROUND 4 MONTHS BEFORE SELLING IT THE BIKE GOT TREATED TO BLACK PAINT JOB PRIOR TO BEING SOLD

I just bought a rs125 with just 2000km since new! I must say the styling of that mito is nice! What a great machine
I still think the rs125 is still a little faster though

They really are the best looking 125 out there to this day

Be wary of the power valve. Also get rid of the oil pump. They're known to fail. Parts are hard to come by for this bike. I run mine on premix now.

Takes me back at one stage i had a 2003 gilera sp125, a full power 2002 rs125, and a full power 96 dtr. I rated the dtr best overall.
I rode one of them quite enjoyable

@@Gixxer_fan_boy oh no, the cagiva could of been your meal ticket to buy a house in 5/10 years time, shame, but still cant tell people what to do, and no i havant looked on facebook yet as im still saving the money to get one, i only want a rs 50 2 stroke so i can do a winter build and maybe next summer a ride out, cheers matt

Great looking bikes , fun to ride even if a bit rigid feeling .. but mate what a pain in the arse ! Electric start had a mind of its own , piston / rings prone to wear . Had mine a month then boughtba 1992 cbr250rr and sold the mito . Sad story . Mine was red with chromed wheels
I remember my starter solenoid now and again needed a gentle whack

I seen on for sale recently but its an ex race bike no lights etc bit rough and ready but im considering buying it and restorating it to it former glory
If he has the headlights to go with it I’d say go for it
@@Gixxer_fan_boy sadly he hasn't which has made me not go for it, I could of just used it with an daylight mot but too much hassle
Power valves at the back - then u reached for a switch/button or something (3.03 ) where is that exactly? By the way nice buy still have mine put away for fun blasts with mates best small cc machine apart from the honda rs race bike but yeh good review on this classic welldone
What I meant was in the background i should have been more clear
When you lift up the tank the power valve is located near the left hand side top of the engine

Rs defo better or a ktm exc 125
The fastest old bike is the suzuki rg125, easy to derestrict and approximately 28hp
It’s a shame they don’t make them like that any more
The rs and mito both have over 30hp so the rg125 definitely isn’t the fastest

@@harlspepps8549 if you upgrade the exhaust you will have to upgrade the carb jets
for what is the L on the windshield?
In the uk you must show an L plate front and back if you don’t hold a full motorcycle license
@@Gixxer_fan_boy oh ok, actually thought something like it stands for beginner or else. What kind of motorbike are you allowed to drive with a non full license?

@@Gixxer_fan_boy it is like our license thing in germany, i guess. I don't actually know how things in germany are, due to my full license i didn't need to inform myself about it, but we have various types of motorcycle license... are you allowed to drive the mito with full power (30ps) with this 125 cc license you have?
@@pat_mc_fly technically the maximum power you are allowed is 11.5bhp, basically a restricted 125 2 stroke or 4 stroke
