Imaginarium is the name of their last album with Annette. Floor took over for Annette midway through the Imaginarium tour and crushed it. She’d only been with the band about 10 months at this show.
They are so down to earth.. Floor has her own TH-cam channel called "Storytime".. I think they are on Storytime #4 now.. You get to see her at her ranch, with her horses.. She talks about different solo projects she is working on, and chats with various music associates she knows... It's really very cool.
I love your reactions. I am almost 70 and I feel Nightwish is in my top 5 of all time and I have only listened to them for a year now! The band seems to be made of down to earth beautiful people.

I am watching this in 2023… have been a Nightwish fan for so long and I loooove Floor … and you so get what my feeling is… no matter what, when, where… you still get to feel the fire and the power of mighty Nightwish and Floor… powerful music.
This concert is the tale end of an 18 month Imaginaerum album world tour.. But, this tour started out with their second lead singer Anette.. About 8 months into the tour in 2012 she could not continue and had to drop out... So, Toumas "the keyboard player" called Floor... Floor's band was inactive at the time, so she flew out to meet up with them on the road.. She filled in as the Nightwish lead singer for the rest of the tour.. By the time she caught up with them she had 48 hours to learn the set list prior to their next tour date. So, at this show she had been singing with Nightwish for about 10 months.. And all these songs had been written by Toumas for a different lead singers vocals... But, it didn't matter, Floor killed it on all of these songs...
I saw Tuomas 4 weeks ago near Stockmann's department store. He was carrying a couple of bags. I had to say something to him, so I said I've been watching a lot of Nightwish live videos previous months and thanked him for his music. He was stoic, quite slow to react, but said "Glad you like it!" after I finally shut my mouth. I said I'll tell fans I we met . He okayed. I said I'm not going to take a picture. I didn't want to bother him more. Afterwards I thought I should have walked with him and ask a thousand questions, but at that moment not one came to my mind. Meeting him felt definitely different from meeting and talking to some other musicians I look up to, I guess partly because you know he doesn't care for attention and praise. I think meeting Floor would make me quite speecless or maybe I would say too much and/or something stupid. And I'm not even a fanboy type of person. I would like to think I could relate to them like to any other person, but obviously not.
I think you handled that pretty well. It's awkward in a situation like that for the both of you i'd assume. I wish he asked if you wanted a picture, but then again it would be awkward for him to suggest that. I'm really glad you saw him f2f though. That's pretty cool.
If I met Floor I would probably ask her if I could hug her, because she is such a nice person, always with big smile, giving happiness to people all over the world with her voice. Of course, it would be awkward as I am almost 40, but I guess she would kind of understand. :)

I'm with you! I worked in the music business and after 40 years was bored by the same old same old.....Until I heard Nightwish. I'm excited about music again. It's funny, I don't know you or anyone else in the Nightwish Army but I feel like we all share a secret, a knowing that people outside who have never heard of them or their music wouldn't understand. I've listened to a lot of their music and their three diverse lead singers and have to say that like you, I too am in love with Floor. She's just the bomb. She's amazing. So go buy Joey dinner and if you haven't listened to "I Want My Tears Back" yet by them, you will again be pleasantly surprised since they expand on their sound with the addition of Troy (who also is amazing). Love your channel.
I couldn't agree with you more, I swear part of why I love them so much is this community, you feel a certain bond with everyone, it's like they've connected us together. It's a really good feeling.
Others have explained the album this is from, but I haven't yet seen a comment about the movie as well. Yes, there is a full length feature film of the same name as the album (Imaginaerum) from 2012. Tuomas wrote the story, and the whole band is in it ( with Annette as lead vocals). Likewise, many of the songs from the album were re-arranged completely orchestral and comprise most of the soundtrack. FYI - I just saw the film for the first time about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I had no idea it's available on Amazon Prime! It's quite good, very Tuomas-hit-you-in-the-feels. What else would you expect??? Low budget, but quite enjoyable; it's definitely worth the watch.

This band is just amazing and as you said, they just seems too cool and down to earth folks, I knew who they were and heard 1 or 2 songs of them before, but this 2020 has put me in this journey of really discovering them and all of their music and is now one of my 2 or 3 favorite ever and Floor is my favorite female vocalist

The other 2 are Linkin Park (because it was my first band when I discovered rock at 11 yo and for emotional reasons) and Guns n Roses, but being objective Nightwish is the best Ive ever heard, the most talented, versatile and with outstanding music compositions (Tuomas is a genius) and Floor is just Floor.

Others have explained the album this is from, but I haven't yet seen a comment about the movie as well. Yes, there is a full length feature film of the same name as the album (Imaginaerum) from 2012. Tuomas wrote the story, and the whole band is in it ( with Annette as lead vocals). Likewise, many of the songs from the album were re-arranged completely orchestral and comprise most of the soundtrack. FYI - I just saw the film for the first time about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I had no idea it's available on Amazon Prime! It's quite good, very Tuomas-hit-you-in-the-feels. What else would you expect??? Low budget, but quite enjoyable; it's definitely worth the watch.

I was introduced to Nightwish through reaction channels, It was Ghost Love Score that got my attention, but Storytime is the song the hooked me. Something about it just speaks to me. This band is just amazing and as you said, they just seems too cool and down to earth folks, I knew who they were and heard 1 or 2 songs of them before, but this 2020 has put me in this journey of really discovering them and all of their music and is now one of my 2 or 3 favorite ever and Floor is my favorite female vocalist

The other 2 are Linkin Park (because it was my first band when I discovered rock at 11 yo and for emotional reasons) and Guns n Roses, but being objective Nightwish is the best Ive ever heard, the most talented, versatile and with outstanding music compositions (Tuomas is a genius) and Floor is just Floor.
