All of you are really excellent musicians. But I want to give the drummer some love. I have to say all the drummers who play with you are really great. The backbone of the groove!
Would love to see a cooperation between Robben Ford and Wojtek Pilichowski - that would immediately be so healing that all suffering from Covid-19 would be cured...
People like Robben Ford and Larry Carlton, who long worked in relative anonymity as session musicians, are now recognized, and rightly so, as among the very best guitarists and composers now practicing their craft. They are men who paid their dues, and earned their stripes. True masters. Always a privilege to hear them perform.
Lmao same broski. I am a guitar player, thru and thru. 20 years, coming up. But, I would, and have, forgo(ne) Vintage guitars. With the express purpose of keeping a fat savings account for the day I find a beautiful Hammond B3 that works, at least relatively because I'd be fine with minor repairs and rewires but not major, because nothing in the world makes me as happy and excited as dank ass B3 playing. Larry and John Medeski are the fuckin GOATs. I have the Electroharmonix pedal that emulates organs and it does a pretty decent job, I've been able to use it to play a handful of Medeski parts from MMW. But damn are those parts hard af to learn lmao
THIS is the stuff I love right here! The Scary Pockets are a fantastic at playing funky covers and I've liked lots of them, but what I've always wanted was to just listen to this band jam, and this definitely scratches that itch! Give me more, please!
This reminds me of the Jazz fusion I used to listen to while in college back in the late 70's/early 80's. Sort of the like 70's version of the Dixie Dregs.
I truly wish you didn't fade the video out at the end, so I could've seen all of your expressions, after ... NAILING IT. At least I could hear the uproar!
The was awesome, as always! At the beginning, this reminded me of one of the many themes for The Cosby Show, but then it brought to mind Good Times and Sanford and Son, some excellent 70s TV shows.
great stuff±.....Wow! the drummer makes this band the very best assistance of the rest the band. What so good for the last 2 weeks is discovering these great young amercan guys. kinda cool how Robben Ford-the guy who practically invented blues fusion guitar playing, which launched modern jazz guitar and current funk music-is a part of a modern-age TH-cam funk band in 2020.
@@alextripp406 One arguments for it is that Robben is the cleanest guitarist to play with Miles Davis (and that Davis liked) -much like how clean Toots plays the harp instead of all that reverb/effects- and complements Davis the best. Well this is a whole new level of musicians - I can watch everyone of them play for hours and hours.... But when Goldring's grand Hammond hits... Dude I can't even
@@cedarbay3994 Yeah I bet he's going through some posh vale gear to get that sound. He must like it with his LP. Its grown on me and now I love it. Can't stop playing it
What a sound! The Hammond in the lead lines with the distorted guitar... It's a sea to swim!
Robben Ford is great as always but what surprises me most is the great drummer in the back
Hell Yeah !
take this group on the road! Robben Ford. One of the greats.
Tamir . . . another masterclass drum performance. ;-)
what a groove Tamir plays in; he has a lightness in his body that makes him fall in the right spots, so in tune with the other musicians!
All of you are really excellent musicians. But I want to give the drummer some love. I have to say all the drummers who play with you are really great. The backbone of the groove!
dirty groove. tasty fill at around 1:25
I was just gonna chime in on the nice gritty breakbeat vibe that drummer has🔥😎
Knowing! Is! DT
He was totally appropriate on everything. Great meter and dynamics! Played like a pro!!!
@@Tommy2tone762 Has he a day job too?
Robben Ford is one of the tastiest players ever.
Absolutly. A veritable artist.
Total genius!
Would love to see a cooperation between Robben Ford and Wojtek Pilichowski - that would immediately be so healing that all suffering from Covid-19 would be cured...
Nice > Spice
But he has the perfect balance between them. He is a legend!
Every time, never disappoints.

Very well said!
that groove was so tight it gave me claustrophobia, damn
Hahaha
Wow Tamir is killing it 👍
I saw Robben Ford in concert eight years ago and met him shortly after. He was polite, humble, and stayed at the hotel I was working at the time.
Awesome instrumental music back to life.. Thanks for that!

Larry Goldings everyday convincing me to play the organ. Great Song! Long Live Da Funk
He makes it look so easy, but....

I just had to watch this twice and emailed it to my brothers. It's really good. Robben should join this band.
The raw energy on this album could power a small nation.
