Forging a puukko | In The Field series

  • Full disclosure, this is my second ever forged knife. I know I'm not the absolute best at it but it's something I love to do and am excited to keep learning!
    I've always loved puukkos which is why I decided to make this puukko style knife for my In The Field series. I'm super thrilled with this whole set and even more pumped to get outside and use it.

    What kind of steel is that? It seems like it's moving like play-dough under your hammer! For your second ever forged knife, I'd say you're doing great, man. Nice even hammering, no fish lips, and good clean lines! Keep it up, brother! I'll be anxious to see more from you!

      This one was w2 steel. And thanks! when I started knife making forging was a HUGE aspiration of mine. Hope to share more in the new year

      Thanks! I got my frame from The Toronto Blacksmith, the motor VFD and everything else I had to piece together
