Just to ADD the MOST important point to add . Results may be less than 1ltr per 100 km [I can confirm this ].[throttle response improved ] The debris [hard particles] and oil sludge increases wear on injectors prematurely .
The PCV and EGR systems are responsible

Sure thing - the difference was 0.5l in my test... But I don't regret doing it. :)

Great video, братанче! I was recently studying this topic and manually cleaned the intake manifold of my 125 prado 1kdftv. Then I decided to put a 7mm hole plate between the tube and the head. In this way, I have reduced the exhaust gases to a minimum, increasing performance but also it will never really get dirty ever again. And it still reduces the temp. Worked wonders for me!

      Good stuff!
I'm curious, what method have you used to clean the intake from the engine side? Did you manage to clean all the way to to the valves?

@@The4x4Lab I actually followed your method of disassembly and did ultrasonic and pressure washing. I just installed the plate on the head side where stuff is dry.

That's the question, isn't it? :D I hope I will soon get to it and tell the story in video.

If you want your engine to last forever then you need to do the following:
1- install mechanical filtration oil catch can (not baffled one since it doesn't filter + increases the pressure) mechanical filtration catch can can filter almost 100% with no change in the pressure.
2- delete the EGR & retune, engines are completely designed to work with no EGR. Actually EGR system doesn't work all time, it works only in idle and light cruising, other than that it stops working.
3- change air filter more often.
4- install a secondery diesel filter.
5- every 5000 km add injector cleaner.
6- avoid short trips as possible.
7- change engine oil every 3000 km.
Then see me after 20 years with ur stock engine runs more than 400000 km and still works like clock.

I mostly agree with your advice. I have also added secondary fuel filter.
However, 3000km for oil change? Isn't that a bit extreme?
      What vehicle do you have?

For the oil change i go for 3000 km for all my cars petorl and diesel.
Engine oil is the blood for the engine. I wont go above 5000km whatsoever regardless of what the regulations say., the 10000 and 20000 is only for environmental issue not for ur engine interest, they want to reduce the amount of used oil dumped. So they asked people to keep it in thier engines for long period of time. Which i dont. Try to send a sample of oil that ran 20000km and to oil lab for analysis. You will be chocked about the results Its not oil any more especially in diesel engines

@@duasobA Thanks for the tip. That makes sense. I will consider changing the oil more often than recommended.
P.S I would love to drive a new LC 79 or Troopy if it was available in Europe.

@@The4x4Lab its so impressive, i tried many offroad trucks, ford f250, nissan patrol, gmc yukon, i have now land cruiser 300 series gasoline, but when it comes to offroad nothing compare to land cruiser 70 series both diesel and gasoline. I believed it is available in Europe with the small engine. I saw several youtube vids. Only mistake toyota did with the new land cruiser 70 series is that they put the 2.8 L engine on it. That engine comes in the hilux, i hope they put the land cruiser 300 series v6 new engine in the LC 70 SERIES instead, if they did it would be the best ever LC 70 series. But for some reasons they didn't

@@The4x4Lab by the way, when I complete my customization to my troopy i will start a world wide trip, so when I come to Europe i will visit u to see and try my troopy.
My project is to swap the new v6 3.3L diesel engine f33a-ftv instead of the 2.8 L and replace suspension to heavy duty ones, install portal axles.
Put my troopy on my old 79 single cab chassis and then extend the troopy cabin to fit. Build the kitchen and the shower, install 270 awing.
Install upper hard wall tent. Install satellite receiver, and starlink, and lightening protector. Also 37 inch tires( maxxis at) which is the lightest. Also roof AC, sunlights panels, triple batteries, fridge, and water heater. And TV.
I really want to make one of a kind beast almighty troopy in every aspect.
