That's why I'm watching speaker vids lol I don't like taking wedding gear or expensive speakers over to friends houses for a bonfire or something so trying to create a small portable system just for that. I'm leaning towards something like Alto TS408's over Bose Sub 2s. ( I already have a TS408 I use for a ceremony speaker so know they're more than capable volume wise)
I don't know how EV did it, but this little sub sounds incredible good. I shot this video mid afternoon on a Thursday so I couldn't really crank it. But once you really open it up it's really something special
Awesome. Even the bushes are waving with joy! I've had Everse 8s (pair) for a couple years and love them. But when I read from others that I would greatly enhance my sound with this sub, I ordered one...coming any day now. Our surround sub in the house was unplugged and when I plugged it back in, I could not believe what I was missing. Same in live sound.....thx for sharing. so cool.
Thank's for the support! You will not be disappointed with this sub. I laughed when I pulled it out of the box. It looked like a toy, but once you get it going. Wow!
@2332gregor thanks again. I'm a solo, small gig guy and the 8s were always more than enough. But, even with years of experience, I'm finally getting around to a sub. I always assumed they were for thumper, until I finally wised up.
No problem, I always enjoy music with a sub. It just adds another layer of depth to the sound. At least for 90 percent of the music I play and listen to. But if your using 8 in tops than this 12 in sub is going to be your secret weapon lol. I considered getting 2 but quickly realized that 1 was more than enough for me.
Yes, I agree. I was really surprised the first time I heard it. All the reviews didn't lie. Considering it looks so small it packs a punch. I've heard 15's from other brands that do not hit as hard.
Nice sound crisp and clear bad thing is when you conect the pa to a mixer and plug in to a guitar and keyboard and mic 🎤 at high volumes you know you need more power i own a 18 sp sub ev and 2 10's ev too.
Thanks for the support! I set the sub @ 100Hz and the tops have a pre set for that particular sub, so I used that. It was morning so I could not really crank it too much. But those 8 in tops can get pretty loud.
Honestly man I have not had a chance to hear the Yamaha, but I've heard good things. But I can tell you that I am so happy with my EV set up. So much so that I went out and also bought the new 15 in versions as well of The Zlx g2 line.
They get plenty loud, this sound demo I did was barely not even half of what they are capable of. I did the sound test around noon so I couldn't really crank them. Didn't want to disturb my neighbors too much😅. But yes they are really loud for an 8 in.
No doubt about that, I put this micro system together for family gatherings and to lug to friends houses. It's perfect for that.

The sound from a subwoofer is impressive !
I'm impressed and I honestly didn't think I would be. I've never taken 12" subs very seriously that sounds good.

I bought this set up for my back yard gatherings for family and friends. Plenty of juice for that.
very clean sound
So funny...I wanted to hear a demo of this sub...and this is my favorite song to use while DJing😂
You have good taste my friend 😂
@@2332gregorso what is your honest opinion of this sub. I have a guy in town willing to sell it to me used but in good condition for $400
nice small PA system
Sounds not bad. EKX is a better speaker, brother... Thanks for sharing.
Bro I have a friend with the exact set up!
Packs one heck of a punch for the size!
Sounds great! What frequency cut did you make on the bass? 100Hz? And what was your frequency cut on the 8" speakers?

Awesome video! :D
Thanks bro!
@@2332gregor You are welcome! :D
Bro what’s yr opinion on this to Yamaha DBR. EV sounds so clean clarity. Looking for church. Thanks.

@@2332gregor Thanks Brotherr. I have to check on these 2. Thanks
Does this mean that the Alto TS4 does not have a driveway for the ZLX G2?
That is correct
How many Watts the sub draws at max??
How many people does it reach?
60 people easily
the zlx 8 in are that loud ??

É muito melhor um som com sub.
Fica um som mais imersivo e encorpado.
Yes, definitely
