I'm really learning a lot from you about Italian houses and appreciate your honesty and willingness to show the amazing and the not so amazing. Taking notes. Thanks!
The stone in the foundation of my house weeps like this. The building shifts over time, and there will be cracks. It's a porous material. And there could be water under the foundation. If this is in a high-risk earthquake area, near Umbria, for example, this could be dangerous. The rustic stone houses are beautiful, but they must be finished properly and updated and checked for prior earthquake damage and safety. You'd want to cut more windows into a house like that as well.
Hmmm. I remember seeing the initial posting of the two places, each at $100,000, but there were zero comments in that one about what you related in this one. Why was that?
Those apartments are in the same village, and are owed by the same owner. They are literally on the other side of the street. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching.
BEWARE of this CAUTIONARY TALE is redundant. Caution already contains the idea of wary. It should be (1) BEWARE of this tale. . . or (2) Listen to this CAUTIONARY TALE. (3) Beware of this cautionary tale means the story itself is doubtful. In other words the story of being careful is fake. DON'T take it seriously. Is that what you mean to say ????? I doubt it. I like exposing SOME stone but this house is too much. Stone doesn't reflect light. It's damp. It sheds. If they can get the water problem sorted out, this could be a great house to renovate. The views are amazing and it's a good price. This borgo is so charming.
Asking price is 100,000 euros, I suspect you could get it for 1/2 that with all the issues. It does have a gorgeous terrace, and it's in a beautiful borgo. Those are the pluses.
Not really, a lot of houses have stone, but stucco cuts down on the shedding of the stone (a mess) and makes the house brighter Otherwise it's dark like a cave. Stucco is a good thing.
Stone = dust. Plus, as you saw in the video, it absorbs light. You want to have the stone be a feature, and stucco the walls so the light is reflected, and less dust.

Complete with a squirrel in the rafters! Thank you for another fun real estate adventure.
You are always spot on, I love how honest and to the point you are.
I appreciate you!!! I'd rather someone point out the flaws than gloss over.
It's a lot of work to live in history. My Italian grandparents migrated to America (from Parma) in the sixties and never looked back.
Wow!! Your description of a cave is understated. The aerial shot of the Borgo was beautiful but the house was a total letdown!
The bed was high to keep you out of the water. 😂

thx! good tips for understanding all there is to consider!
The Only Thing I Loved was Terrace & The Squirrel 🐿️ At the End of the video 😍
Yes, I saw moisture on the wooden beam at 1:56 and knew it was a damp cave!
I love all of the stone
😂 the surprise real estate channel! This moisture was not a happy surprise.
9min. In .... Ground squirrel in the rafters 😮
Was that a squirrel in the last shot of the rafters????? EEEK!!
I came here to ask that!!
Right?! I was thinking a very large mouse…AKA Ratto!
@@petercasarico3145 🤣
The price still seems decent enough for the amount of character...admittedly the character is partially under water!
I would love it, apart from the raising damp.
It's more about having realistic expectations.
@9:00 what was that little critter that crawled out from behind the beam on the wall?
I'll bet you have a ghost story or two after touring so many of these old buildings...

Always adore Annette and the music was nice. Maybe the house was suppose to be retro Paleolithic.
Love that description, wish we'd thought of that! Thanks for watching.
Needs a French drain. Moisture is environment for mold.

" Or you can hang meat in here!" LOLOLOL
9:00 mark, top left. Looks like a flying squirrel comes with the property?
That looks like rising damp.

How much is this house?

Why would you stucco stone? You're insane

Cześć piękna .proszę o napisy w języku polskim .,pozdrawiam serdecznie .🥰👌👍🌹🙏
Flip this into a prison.
_Why announce something you already considering to be a problem, I would certainly not live in a house like this, but anyway i love your show._
