- Performance from Eriko Daimo Solo Marimba Recital in Beall Concert Hall, OR, U.S.A. February 24th, 2014
Dr. Gradus ad Parnassum from Children's Corner by Claude Debussy.
It blows my mind how she is able to perform with such a great amount of touch. Mallets aside. She is truly getting the best sound out of that instrument and is not sacrificing articulation! Bravo!!!!!!!
Thank you very much for your compliment Ian! :-)
I’m playing this for my Jury today! I’ve poured 16 weeks of hard work into this piece and I’m ready to show that off. Thank you so much for inspiring me to take on this challenging piece!
I love this piece. Congratulations Eriko for such a touching performance!
OMGosh, this is one of my favorite versions--great dynamics & feel & execution ... Excellent work here!
Still the best performance I've ever seen!
Beautiful. I was really touched and amazed by your performance. So nice to meet you "in person" too!
Her fabulous performance is beyond description , and full of admiration , acclaim and deep emotion
She plays the marimba with incomparable skill and exquisite technique in a way that makes the most of its characteristics

You are welcome
Go for it Good luck!
Holy smokes, that was... awesome!
Wonderful! Great job Eriko.
The fact that she's able to do all those double laterals on BURTON GRIP... Wow..
This my personal take, but grip is ultimately all personal preference. A good player with Burton grip is always better than a bad player with Stevens' and vice versa, as you can see in ms Daimo's performance
Oui, c'est incroyable
I loved the pauses (as well as in between..)
Et dire que moi je suis deja limite en le jouant au piano..C'est incroyable la methode avec laquelle tu joues ! Bravo!
That's wonderful!
Very nice! Thank you.
Yes, its amazing
This was beautiful and amazing. The most impressive thing are the heels though. I probably couldn't play this with heels on XD
this is so cool
Her performance is the acme of beauty
Thank you very much!!!!!

Who arranged this? I would love to learn this.
Nathan Winters Leigh Howard Stevens transcribed it. From "Children's Corner".
Bless. Thanks a ton, bud!
I just played the original piano score, with a couple octave transpositions.-Eriko :-)
