I love those wheel barrel products, they're like old friends 😄😄 I like the Aussie gels as one & dones. I liked the feel of my hair when I did a one & done with CRN Almond Jai Butter. Not significant hold but in low humidity weather I get at least two days from it
I bought the Mixed Chic cream in Sally's, but I have recently seen it in Walmart, as well. One recommendation I have is the Fantasia Argan Oil Pudding. It's actually a cream-gel with decently good ingredients (not Curly Girl friendly, though), a nice medium-firm hold and it's affordable. I found it on clearance at Walmart, but I have seen it at Walgreens, as well.

I never use gels by themselves. The only product I use by itself is the Every Strand curl cream, but that is because it has slight to medium hold on its own and doesn't play well with others, not with creams and not with any type of gel! It's a horrendous product, but I love it in the summer time, easy & quick!
I used the Bumble and Bumble anti frizz oil gel as a one and done...it’s about $30 at Ulta so cant use that every wash day. I also use UFD curly magic as a one and done. All of Deva Curl gels dry out my hair so that’s a no for me. I have Lorraine Massey’s new Curly World line and the Leave in Lover gel is okay as a one and done

I have seen Curly chic in Sally's. I am still a big JessiCurl fan. I have never tried Aunt Jessie's flaxseed gel, but for that price and your glowing review I think I want to put that in my arsenal for the summer. The only Ouidad gel I use now is the original heat and humidity, and it doesn't have glycerin. Your video last summer about products with glycerin was so informative and important. I still limit the number of products I purchase with glycerin. I am getting away from DevaCurl gels, I am finding that they are drying in addition to the fact that all of their styling products have glycerin. Have you ever tried CRN Curlmaker as a one and done?

Yes!!! This is my #1 eternal curly quest!!! Ever since (wah, broken record here... ) Ouidad changed their gel formulas for their OG (before it became "Advanced") Climate Control and Vitacurl (before it took the 'L", lol) -- I alternated using those two gels as One & Done w&g for about 15yrs. So, thanks MadCurls & Madfam for helping me experiment with new 'gel-life'! Yep, 'twas I who mentioned the proteins in the mask -- looking out for y'all, girlies! I’ve been reaching for Nature’s Little Secret flaxseed gel a lot. I just ordered another bottle because I’m almost out. I just love it. Tay got me started on a MC Tropical Moringa, which I find myself using more for my edges and to smooth/hold when I put my hair up in a puff. Love it better than ecostyler for that. Some are saying that the MC Cheers gel is the best of all MC gels now. I actually found it near me so I got the conditioner, gel and hair polish... I resisted the shampoo at least 🤷🏽♀️😄. The ingredients got me on this one... rice and hops for strengthening. Great video/info! 💕💕💕
