- Wetline Xtreme Gel is the latest craze in the natural hair community, or at least it appears to be. We tracked this very affordable gel down, so we could determine if this much talked about gel is all that we are hearing it is. There are supposedly 3 versions of this gel, each promoting something different. We however picked up the “Wetline Xtreme Gel” with the green lid and each of us used our choice of “leave-in” conditioner. In this tutorial we discuss, demonstrate and let our audience see exactly what this gel is all about. ECO never worked for me so this gel was heaven sent 🙌🏽 It’s worth the hype👌🏽
Ash_brii I tried Eco styler once and hated it. This gel gave me lots of definition but it was too crunchy. I’ve since learned how to get rid of the crunch. I have the curlmix moisturizer so I’m going to try that with the gel next time and add some on top of the gel with the serum like what Taylor Ann did.
D S yes there is a crunch but once I add an oil to “scrunch out the crunch” it leaves me with softness and hold. I think the blue and/or green wetline gives a softer hold btw

My 2nd favorite gel. Pros: It really does work to stop frizz in humid weather. I use it after applying grapeseed oil, but seriously this stuff works with almost all leave in condish or oils. Cons: It makes my curls look smaller vs my #1 gel Eco Styler Olive Oil that leaves my 3c /4a curls bouncy with a bigger curl.
You should do a video where you do each other's hair. 😂

Born in 1956. This is significant because a hot comb was the go to for pressed hair. The kitchen was the nape area where most kinky - haired girls experienced extreme kinkyness to coin a word. Your mom would tell you to "hold still so she could get your kitchen." I guess it would be today similar to taming your edges.

I'm so excited to see you reviewing this product. I just bought it and used it. I didn't know you weren't supposed to be heavy handed with it. I used alot and my hair is super stiff and super crunchy! But on the other hand it gave me super defined curls especially on my 4a sections of hair.

I actually LOVE the wetline gel. I never use gel without a leave in. I feel like I need the extra moisture!! It’s bomb tho!! Great video!!👍🏽
Tried it again, loved it. Used the curlmix moisturizer. When I say I am loving this gel. Listen I did a wash and go and on the fourth day decided to add more moisturizer so I spritzed my hair with water and added moisturizer and then used my fingers to detangle, but when I tell you my fingers glided through my hair with no problem. I then proceeded to twist my hair in about 8 or 9 twists. I did not comb my hair out I just used my fingers to separate my hair and added water and moisturizer. A few days later I took the twists down and Omg I had the Best twist out Ever!!!! It was well defined and had no flakes. It looked like a wash and go and was super soft. This gel, this gel is Bae!!!! I am totally sold.
I learned about this gel 7 yrs ago. It can be used with most leave ins. The black gel is purple with a much stronger hold than the clear, which I used for edges. There's a white gel which is the strongest which should be used as the black. The black would hold edges for a couple of days. The white when applied your hair looks like it has a relaxer. It's my favorite gel.

Hi!! So glad you ladies did this video!!! I love the clear version! It has replaced all of my stylers. I also have the blue, but my hair is ALWAYS frizzy with that one, so to my hair, there IS a difference. I am using any other stylers I have under this gel and I have not found anything that is not compatible with it. Love, love, love!!! It is too hooo hooo late for the other gels byeeeee.
I feel like this gel is the universal curl type gel.. just about everyone who uses it (myself included) loves their results! I have the blue and clear. I have to be a little more generous with gel on my hair to get my desired results but I love them every time! Oh and this works great on edges and for sleek ponytails. I had no flyaways all day long!

I LOVE me some Xtreme Gel!! I remember when I was at DD getting hot cocoa, and this lady says "mmm, you smell good, like apples". I was like oh thats my hair gel teehee lol! Listen, that gel is something serious and while I love me some Argan Eco, I had go ditch it for a little bit to use Xtreme. Now mind you, I use Eco for the edges and Xtreme everywhere else. Haha yesss! 😂 I also agree with eco for edges and this gel for everything else, it doesn’t quite hold my edges like eco does. As a styled though, we love it much more than eco!

Y’all came through with the Wetline review! I love this gel. If you use enough, you can get maximum hold. I usually have hold and definition for 7 days. I could probably go longer, but I gotta wash mine after 7 days. Thanks for reviewing this. By the way... We are 9 days into the new year, I am still #notbothered.

Your hair came out amazing! I’ve tried this gel a million different ways and I just can’t rock with it like my Eco gold. Even when I get nice results, it creates a strange residue and makes my scalp itch. It’s all good though. Oh and I FINALLY got my hands on Creme Restore and I’m shook! It’s amazing, made my hair feel like silk. Definitely a new fave. Thanks ladies 💕💕

I always feel like Lorianne hair is never as wet as it should be when she's doing her wash n go. But it turned out good still. Wetline is definitely not new. I still have my jar from five years ago that I never used..... It's too heavy for my hair.

I don't ask for products for Christmas, but I bought Alikay products right after Christmas and will be using them for the first time this weekend. I did get a new coach bag and small stationery bike for the master bedroom to ride while watching TV, which is related to one of my goals for this year. Your definition is awesome!

Alright now hair looking phenomenal.... I can't find the green and black gels but I do own the clear and blue one... The clear is the best one to me... The blue had a lighter hold.. I never thought I'd find a gel better than eco for the price then Boom Wetline extreme came through and punched eco in the throat 😂😂😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥 great review and demo dolls...
I love love the wetline extreme gel I use the clear one it works pretty well with a lot of leave ins and creams. When you want to lay your edges or cur-lies (in my Tay’s voice) or ponytail, As I Am smoothing gel under wetline omg those hairs will lay for days lol. We are 9 days into the New Year and it’s a shame that I haven’t started my New Year’s resolution. The struggle is real 😂😂😂. Love the results ladies. I ask for natural hair products on every occasion I can think of but no one ever listens 😢

I got an email about a flash sale from Camille Rose on the Cocoa Melange collection. I bought it for myself as a late X-mas gift. I love love love it. It smells like deep, rich, delicious chocolate. The conditioner and facial mask look like chocolate mousse, The whole set was $25.

Aloe is way down on the list right? Love that Shea Moisture deep conditioner. Baby Alive yes, had one. I used this gel once and it was too crunchy, but I know now that I probably used too much. I want to try again. I’m glad you’re using the curlmix moisturizer, I have the samples so I want to see how that turns out. (Typing throughout the video). By the way the curlmix moisturizers are Bomb!!!! So Taylor Ann your hair was soft after using the gel with the curlmix moisturizer? If so I have to retry and not use so much. Thanks for the video. Always a pleasure. I had the squeeze bottle, because I just wanted to try. Gave it to my brother. It will probably be too hard and crunchy for a one and done.

So far, in 2019 I’ve managed to maintain being #notbothered 😄... and yes just taking one day at a time. Through my many trials that’s what my mom always encouraged me to do is take it a day at a time and stand on the fact that things change in a moment. Just as things changed negatively unexpectedly, they will change for the good in a moment... so to hold on, have faith and look forward to that moment.

I would never use Wetline as a one and done. The ingredients are not moisturizing. No hair products or gifts for Christmas...all cash went to the kids.

Just found you 2 love your content. I read somewhere clear gel is best as it doesn't leave a tint. I make my own flax seed gel it is the best for my hair have you 2 ever tried the rice water rinse it changed my curls and my hair grows alot faster, and for Lori-anne try ayurvedic oils for regrowth I am 60 years old and it also helped regrow baby hairs and scalp health. Thanks for all your hard work!

Another great video Ladies. I could never use Eco gel. I’ve been using Giovanni LA Natural Styling gel for 8 years and Wetline clear Xtreme gel for 6 years. Dollar Tree carries Wetline Super Look Styling Gel 15.8 oz Extreme hold which works just as good as the Xtreme for $1.00. (I have always used a leave in conditioner plus an oil before applying gel.) Love your results! 💚

I watched your video an was headed to Sally's to pick this up, but I stopped in dollar tree for something first and they had the same brand but its called "super look" it was $1 so I picked it up. I hope it is te same gel, it says extreme hold. The jar is shaped the same but smaller, what the heck, if it doesnt work I lose $1 lol love you guys!
