I started my natural hair journey Jan 2020. I can’t believe I just found you two lovely women. I’m a 64 year old black woman, and I truly love your mom. I love both of you and can’t get enough of your videos. I’m trying to binge watch to catch up. Starting with your newest to oldest. Please keep your videos coming. They are very informative, educational, inspiring and fun. I can’t thank you enough, and I’m so happy I found you❤️❤️❤️

I always shampoo and then deep condition. I never use regular conditioner. Regular condition seems kinda pointless and a waste of time when there’s deep conditioner.🤷🏽‍♀️

I agree but sometimes I lightly put on a regular conditioner before I put on my deep conditioner. And by lightly I mean I don’t section my hair or thoroughly coat my strands with it. Plus I also rinse it all out at once when I rinse my deep conditioner out. I use a lot less deep conditioner when I do this.

brad mondo has said that hairstylists find it difficult to colour hair that has had henna. henna sticks to the follicle and gives it sort of a permanent barrier instead of penetrating so bleach and other colours will have an issue penetrating the follicle from what i understand.

I shampoo and deep condition….stopped using rinse out conditioners four years ago. Miche and CRN are still at the top of my list. I used the CRN Cholestrol DC on Tuesday and that is a really good mask. I too have kind of been getting back to what I know really works well on my hair. Another one of my favorites is the MC Heavenly Halo line including the DC....it reminds me a little of Miche.

Shampoo and then Deep condition. I detangle before I wash my hair so don’t really see the point for a conditioner.
I have never thought to mix deep conditioners. Might give it a go.
My faves are: Shea moisture JBCO, 10-1 super fruits and the Manuka honey masks - I think Shea moisture have THE best masks!
I have ordered the Camille rose algae one as I have made a move to her products - really excited about trying it!

Hey Ladies! I do both depending on the shampoo/conditioner combo. Some I go straight to DC. My favorite DCs are Miche Indulge, Alikay's Honey and Sage, Curls Blueberry Bliss Mask, and Bask&Bloom's Brahmi Root Masque.
I will be using Miche's Strengthening mask and Mielle's (all of them! 😅) for the first time soon. Also, I had (quite by accident) a Soultanicals shopping spree this year and I will be trying all of Lori Anne's favorite DCs. I have their clay cleansers too. Really looking forward to using the Soultanicals. 🥰

Hi Ladies... I shampoo, condition then deep condition. My treatments are a monthly clay mask. I use to use Apoghee treatments to strengthen my hair, but now I use Chebe paste. It works just as well but more natural. Soultanicals has a hibiscus dc that is wonderful. I have the litter sizes in Fro Despair, Afrotastic, Monoi and the Hibiscus deep conditioners. Moisture trained hair goals...😀

Hi guys...I go 5 to 7 days with a wash & go and although I have fine hair I believe because I have a finer texture it gets super matted at the end of the week. I shampoo, condition (detangle), then deep condition. I find that the DC works better in my detangled hair. And I definitely mix DC. Moisturizing is a must every week, but every other week I will mix SM Honey & Yogurt protein mask. Love your channel. Thanks for the tips.

Of your picks Tay, I want to try the Briogeo Don't Despair Repair and the Shea Moisture Power Greens Reconstructor. I just did a pre-poo with that Shea Moisture Intensive Hydration Masque. I love the slip it has on my dry hair. I haven't tried it with heat after a shampoo though. I bet heat does take the moisture and slip benefit to the next level. Of Lori Anne's picks, I definitely want to try the Soultanicals Monoi DC; my hair loves monoi oil.

I either shampoo and deep condition (has to have enough slip to finger detangle
) after or clarify and use Oyin Gingermint Co-wash (it’s that moisturizing to my hair) as my second cleanser leave it on for 5 minutes and then go into a leave-in (has to have a good amount of slip to detangle).

  • @MinksKinks
    @MinksKinks 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I definitely shampoo, condition and deep condition. I use the rinse out to detangle my hair. I don't know what it is about afrotastic, but my hair doesn't like it AT ALL. I use it to pre poo just to use it up now.

  • @leab.5849

I shampoo, protein treatment or deep condition. Sometimes, I shampoo, then use regular conditioner. Or, I'll just use a cleansing conditioner.
I'm seeing some improvements in both of your hair! Looking good!
TaylorAnne, the Hydrolyzed Silk is the protein in the Shea Moisture Power Greens Reconstructor.
My top favorite clarifying shampoos are:
Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo
    &
    Kinky-Curly Come Clean Shampoo.
My favorite anti-shedding, anti-breakage shampoo is
Qhemet Biologics Egyptian Wheat Grass Cleansing Tea.
My go-to most moisturizing deep conditioner is Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Curl Masque! You should try it out! The slip is amazing!
I also like the Not Your Mother's Naturals Royal Honey & Kalahari Desert Melon Butter Masque for a protein-free strengthening treatment.
Another goodie from the NYM's Naturals is Sicilian Blood Orange & Black Currant Butter Masque. It's very moisturizing.
For a strong protein treatment, I now use Giovanni Nutrafix Hair Reconstructor.
My favorite cleansing conditioner is still the Camille Rose Neroli Blossom (with Cashew Milk & Orange Blossom) Elongation Cleansing Milk.
I use various regular conditioners some have silicones & some are Curly Girl friendly.
I hope you two and your family are doing well, and staying safe!
    Thanks for the vid!💖💖💖

I shampoo and dc once it hits 65 degrees ad up. Once it's cold and in the 40s below i re add conditioner into the mix. I LOVE that sm greens mask! right now im loving the mane choice amazzon shampoo, mask and gel! I also been loving mousse and gel. that's all i did during the winter, no leave in!! LOL
I had the same issue lori did i went to rezo salon and the colorist lifted my hair too much and i was stuck with golden blonde hair i wasn't going for. Then i got it toned down in march and by end of april the brass came back again!!! So i fck it i'm coloring my hair chocolate brown and i went to target to get it and yeah! Never again!

I think deep conditioner as a treatment it’s not really meant for amazing slip like how brands advertise for rinse out conditioners. Last year is was much more flat and almost see though but now it looks GOOD! I also stopped bleaching my hair and just let my hair be now. My hair even looks better, feels better, and grows more more. Love bleach blonde hair with passion but it's so damaging!
