YOU ARE INCREDIBLE! The S&P 500 is DOWN since 8/24/21. Many high-quality dividend ETFs are DOWN over that time. You're up TWENTY PERCENT. You should have a show on every TV channel at 8 PM every night. Where would America be if everyone had to learn from you? I've said it before: you're a national treasure!
I too have been adding weekly to Mo I just can't help myself with the mouth watering yield. I should be adding to VZ as well but got stung a bit by AT&T so a little gun shy thinking it might be a value trap
Chuck - I hold almost all of the stocks from the portfolio you showed in 2021 - High div one and I am up too. I did add CI which I am up on that one significantly. Dividends are great and keep coming. I had lost faith in CAH but still held it and now I am glad it is up as well.
no, FAST Graphs do have the option of showing performance with dividends reinvested. The reason I prefer showing it separately is because you get to see the contribution of capital appreciation separately and the contribution of dividends separately. Regards, Chuck
...and why I didn't listen to the Master when he recommended the portfolios? I guess I have some work to do. Im happy to see some of them are still under performing.
Great Video Chuck! I wonder what I should do with stocks, that I once bought while being fair valued that now have become mass. overvalued like Pepsi, Paychex, etc. Do you normally keep those stocks or do vou cash in?
Chuck, just wanted to bring up a blast from the past, Cardinal Healthcare (CAH). A stock you had proposed a while back (maybe in 2018-2019?!) as being a research candidate due to its undervaluation and margin of safety. Well, it took some time but investing is a long-term game and requires patience. Collected the dividend while waiting for it to return to fair value. Or as they say, getting paid to wait. It is rewarding to see its strong performance this year as it has bolstered my portfolio in spite of the overall market pullback. Thank you for all that you do! My notifications are on so that I never miss a video.

Excellent video, demonstrating how to construct and view the portfolio as a whole. Question: Is the portfolio model "builder/management" a spreadsheet tool integrated into Fastgraphs? Or, is it an export to a spreadsheet? Or, is it manually populated spreadsheet?
Thanks Chuck. I remodeled my portfolio like your overweighted one. Overall, I’m up a few % as opposed to the S&P 500 being down. I hold many of the same stocks as your portfolio. I’m eager for the next lessons: rebalancing, when do you take profits and move into a different undervalued stock, drip vs monthly reallocation?
my ideal holding. Permanently. However, if fundamentals are truly deteriorating or valuation gets extreme I may sell or pair. But as I often state the portfolio is like a bar soap the more you handle it the smaller it gets. If you do your work right in the 1st place if the stock does drop in value my immediate inclination is to buy more whereas most investors will typically want to sell.
@@FASTgraphs the problem is nobody knows when to sell. It's much more probable to regret selling than not selling. In the stock market you have a floor (which is the amount you invested. You can't lose more than that, provided that you don't get involved into alavancation madness) but you have no roof. So if you have a floor and no roof, it's better to accept that sometimes you'll lose and wait for a possible sky rocket stock than to try avoiding losing at all costs, essentially putting a roof over your investments. A very low roof btw.
Lock in gains when you can, I'm up overall on the year, as opposed to being down. 15+% like the SP. If you see a stock being overvalued, get rid of it. Wait for it to move back to average repurchase. Granted that's "timing the market" but you gotta lock in when you can. Esp during volatile times.

Great work chuck…will you rebalance? If yes what would add, what would you drop? Love the videos and i subscribe to fast graphs never make a purchase without it.
I wish I learned about Mr. Chuck earlier! Then I would have not made a lot of stupid financial mistakes! I am so glad that he is on line so we can follow him. God bless you, Mr. Chuck!
good video Chuck, as always! hey, question: just for curiosity: how come AVGO didn't make this portfolio? you mentioned them before, they're a great growth stock and fantastic dividend growth (which was raised yet another 12.6% just now ...) - how come they're not in this portfolio? I'm really curious and will appreciate your answer. Thanks!!
Thank you for the excellent content. Could you also mention LEG in your future videos? I think it looks very attractive at current price of 33$ per share it pays a 5.3% dividend yield and has a p/e of 12.5. Thanks!
Market declines, soaring inflation, a significant interest rate hike by the Fed, and rising treasury rates all point to additional losses for portfolios this quarter. How can I benefit from the current erratic market? I'm still debating whether to sell my $125,000 bond and stock account.
Greetings from Indonesia - I love your videos, Chuck. Do you ever use conservative options to enhance returns? Also, if you ever get Fast Graphs down to $10 a month I'll sign up. Thank you for the dedication and effort and please keep the videos coming, I watch them all.

That is impressive performance given the situation. Hopefully part 4 will be ideas for a new portfolio.

Indeed, the chad of the stock market.

Thanks Chuck, curious as to which 5 stocks you would overweight with current valuations
