Thanks so much Chuck, every time I watch your presentation I not only learn something new, I get more confident with the knowledge you provide. I only wish I would have picked up on your channel much sooner. What a great help and service you provide to retail investors like myself - it helps level the field from the sharks and the big boys. Good on you my friend!! I am a subscriber forever.
You are 1 of a few that make up my 'think tank', when it comes to my dividend growth portfolio. Trimming overpriced positions here, initiating (or adding to) a position there. Thanks for all you do! "Quality First, Valuation Second, Monitor Always!".....
I look forward to your videos, and have watched them all I think. Thank you so much for giving us your sage wisdom, and so much useful information and perspective! I am 58, and only started dividend value investing four years ago. In this current bear market, and the 2020 and 2018 corrections, I can hear your advice, and it has served me well. My portfolio is still 56% in the green (divs included), proof that "valuation matters, and it matters a lot!"). Sending you more gratitude than I can ever repay.
Hi Chuck, I just wanted to pass on to you my deepest appreciation and thanks for your hard work. I've been investing for about 5 years now and with all the research and learning I've done I still consider myself a novice with much to learn. I can positively say though, that no other person has taught me so much about the many tools and ways to properly value a company. Your videos are a must for anyone looking to improve their investment skills. Again you thank you.
Hey Chuck! Love the Veuve Clicquot shirt!! I like the content even more as this strategy is right in my wheelhouse. I started out value investing doing it the hard way i.e. when someone asked Warren Buffett where they should start, I believe he said "Start with the A's". Although I learned a lot doing it this way for a couple of years, I am now on the lookout for those solutions that will give me more time with my family. I think I have done enough due diligence now to realize that FAST Graphs should be part of my investing system. Stay safe and test negative. Cheers!
I cannot stress it enough, if an investor has time on their side then making money in a bear market or even a RECESSION is e a s y. Buy into quality companies and hold. A matter of fact, enjoy the opportunity to invest into them at such steep discounts. Far too many try to get rich by Tuesday and it crushes their opportunities at true wealth generation!
Hey Chuck, can you make an Video on German / Eurpoean Real Estate Stocks? Stocks like Vonovia SE, LEG Immobilien AG and so on looking very interesting.
Chuck hi, thank you again, you know what: for me you are Graham II,(ok almost) I was doing exactly what Graham, Buffett and you were teaching us. All the best to you from Europe
Chuck, you called some of the Bull markets “recessions” by accident. Can you correct these? I want to share this with some folks (some who might be a bit skittish). I love FastGraphs.
Thank you Mr. Valuation! Another great list, i will defintely follow this list through. There are few i already have but there quite few more i need to add. Thanks again.
Ye a good lesson again. I have a Stock like AMT buyed at least not to high @190$ its always overpriced most of Time but the Dividend Record is Amazing. Its today overvalued, but i have fear to sell it and get again a great entry price. Since there earnings great and they have a great Management.
A lot of good research candidates here, appreciate the excellent content as always. Although there are some good deals now i am hoping for some serious bargains like we saw in 2020 crash before this is over
Great video, could you do a video on sin stocks (mainly tobacco) and the outlook in the future? do you see a safe dividend? btw I am holding MO, LOW, BLK and VFC from those you mentioned
Chuck- Most investors in the 21st century should focus on total returns but there was not one mention of this key point in the video. For example, one of your examples as a company with consistent dividend growth was Leggett & Platt. According to FASTgraphs, over the last 20 years LEG had a total compound return of 4.87% per year. On the other hand, an investor could have just invested in SPY and earned 6.96%. Investing in LEG would have resulted in missing out on 2+% per year in returns while taking single stock risk. Using FASTgraphs to find stocks at attractive evaluations is great but it’s Total returns- dividends AND growth that investors should focus on…
Chuck -- thanks for the great video. I would be very interested in your comments about investing in attractively priced stocks versus keeping cash on hand. Lots of good bargains available now, but if you have been fully invested and remain so then you may not have a lot of funds that are available to take advantage of the bargains. How do you manage this? Have you been selling stocks that are still over-valued in this bear market to free up funds to take advantage of more attractively priced opportunities? Thank you!
Chuck... I see where CAT is still on dividends champion list... looks as thought they cut dividend in 2013; is there another metric to remain on list? Perhaps I missed something. Thanks.
Thanks. Could you make a video on the screener function for fast graphs premium users. Explaining the different screening criteria, how to best set it up in order to find low valued stocks with good future forecasting predictions etc. Just so many options to chose from. It is a bit confusing.
I have. It doesn’t cover much. I’m sure you could lure a lot of new users to become premium subscribers if you made a thorough introduction. Narrowing down 10-25 high quality stocks at a great valuation surely would be intriguing for a lot of people.
Thank you Chuck! Thanks for the reminder in your video today that you dont mind if the stock continues to fall. I have to keep reminding myself of that - and especially to remind myself, that I'll be kicking myself in 2 years if and when the market has recovered and i'll be wondering why I didn't throw more dry powder into the market when I could have. My difficulty now is to try and cancel out the noise - I just need to buy regularly all the way down but it's so hard to tune out everyone else "waiting" for a certain price - making me hesitant to not buy at the absolute "bargain". How do you deal with that?
It's tough to watch long-term stocks stuck in the red. I've had XOM/CVX since 2015, and was down ~40% for a LONG time. DRIP'd during this time, and now I'm glad I held. Repeat a few of these events, and you quickly gain confidence in your decisions, and resolve to hold quality companies during the tough times. Good Luck!
Does your software tell me of dividends paid by debt? Many companies have to borrow to be able to pay the dividend. I want to avoid those. Can you help?
Thanks for the forecast! 📊 I’ve got a question: 🤨 I only have these words 🤔. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). I’d be grateful for some help. 🙌
Great videos Chuck, I think you are a voice in the woods, to help us see the daylight. My question is why do you think some of these are down, just because the market is down? Some of those have specific concerns like MMM with the EPA lawsuits. Just pointing out that not all is due to just the market being down. SWK down because of I assume the connecting with housing right? It would be helpful to know more about the businesses and how they can continue growing over the next 10 years. I guess I have to ask myself was does Buffet not own any of these? VFC do they have good brands? TROW, how will they continue to compete with BLK and the ETF world? Those are more my concerns, thoughts please? Am I over thinking this?
for starters the stock you are citing were all greatly overvalued and therefore vulnerable to any negative catalyst. So as Mr. Valuation I would contend that overvaluation is the primary culprit. With that said, as you suggested each company does have issues. The real question is will they destroy the company or simply a temporary problem that needs to be solved. I think the companies you mentioned will all be doing business long after you and I are pushing up Daisy's. so I'm not sure I would say you're overthinking, because I believe that nothing replaces comprehensive research and due diligence.. On the other hand, I could argue that you being perhaps overly paranoid not necessarily for the short run but for the longer run. Hope that helps, Chuck
Keep the dry powder as there will most likely be better values in the future. 2Q earnings about to kick off and we’ll see how they match up with expectations and future guidance. Analysts should start to lower earnings expectations going forward, so while we have seen a PE multiple contraction, we have not factored in a lower E. Wait for something to break and the Fed to reverse course on rate increases.
less than a year from fair value. As I always say, measuring performance without simultaneously measuring value is a job half done. The 2008 recession recovered almost immediately once it bottomed.
@@FASTgraphs sure. I entered in Sept 09. It was good. The economy didn't fair so well. We are halfway to mean reversion. I hope thats not in the cards.
Hi Chuck , thank you for your video. Could you please elaborate on BERRY GLOBAL GROUP INC (TICKER bery). I just want your opinion about this stock that seems to me is trading at a good entry point. ciao !

The best Chuck-ism:
"Buy at a favorable valuation so you can FULLY participate in the growth of the company"
This is one of Chuck's greatest video to put people at ease those who are afraid of bear markets
Class is in session every time Chuck has a video posted here. Great stuff. Valuation matters- period!
As always, Chuck sticks with facts and data rather than trying to scare people. A solid and thoughtful finance channel to follow.

Another valuable video. It’s like shopping a Black Friday sale.
Itching to buy more LEG, PNR, TNC, LOW, VFC, and SWK after this video. Already own too much MMM and MO me thinks.
Excellent from all angles
Hey chuck, mind putting TKC on your next video? 4.77x P/E, Very low P/B ratio. 8.59% dividend.
I think you’ll really find it attractive.

Bear markets give you opportunities. Wonderful time since 2008 to buy.
Fast graphs, On the subject of J&J they just broke them self up, so the company is smaller. How do you take this into account ?
