Beware of mixing up 'opinions' with facts more like.
Like the fact that Farage's politics haven't changed yet Coutts let him bank there till his account dropped below their level.
Or the fact they offered him - with his politics - an alternative bank account.
Or the fact they haven't closed the accounts of others who share his politics!
Or the fact he hasn't been deprived of an account cos that's against the law (EU law)
Or the fact he could sue if he thought he had a GENUINE grievance. But I bet he won't.

Nigel has links to Russia. Coutts faces reputational loss for banking with him. They made a BUSINESS decision not to bank with him, and offered him banking with one of their less prestigious subsidiaries. He is embarrassed not to be able to bank with Coutts, so he makes a stink.
Business is inherently political, the most powerful people in the world are largely unelected. Farage is a talking head, he supports big businesses by dividing the working class on the behalf of the powers that be. It's class warfare, as always.

This is absolutely disgusting! Why? Because it will only get sorted due to it affecting the politicians. Says everything about the times we are living in.

You do have a right to a basic account ...its in the financial regulations which were inherited from EU rules. They also state that you can't be discriminated against because of political beliefs . A bank though has a right to judge what individual may cause them reputational damage.

Coutts Bank made a grave mistake when they decided to terminate Nigel Farage's account, as they failed to recognize the significance and influence this political figure holds. It is evident that they overlooked the fact that Nigel Farage dedicated a substantial portion of his career, spanning almost two decades, to tirelessly advocating for Britain's departure from the European Union. Furthermore, it is important to acknowledge that he played a pivotal role in the downfall of Theresa May's leadership and the subsequent triumph of Boris Johnson, resulting in an astounding 80-seat majority for the Conservative Party.
Coutts Bank likely anticipated that Nigel would easily succumb and accept their terms, but to their surprise, their assumption proved to be incorrect.
