The reason you should fly a Vexor II is because you can solo a T6-T8 nihilus deadspsace in 25-40 minutes with a ranged DPS setup. I haven't played EVE in about 6 months, but I used to make 150mil/hr scanning down ndeds, jumping in, and sniping from 80 km. I never lost the hull. And with that kind of range (kicking out ~1800 dps hot with three damage mods, a good nanocore, factions drones, and good rigs), you can run almost anyone out who jumps in. I once fought off a Nado, Brutix, and Harbi simultaneously in a Vexor II in the middle of a T8 Guristas nded without taking damage. It's a little tough to pilot, but with practice and expert skills it's an unparalleled PVE monster. If you want solo content that's actually difficult and extremely rewarding, fit a Vexor II and see how many ndeds you can clear in a day. (Gila is good too. The only T6-T8 ndeds a Vexor II can't clear are Angel ndeds, because the Cynabals go ~3km/s. But you can run them in a Gila without breaking a sweat, as long as you fit for application and tank and stay within 20km of the in-gate.)
Vexor IIs can be quite strong though I prefer to use a shield tank build. I fly both the Gila and the Vexor II and the Gila just edges it, but then I do have a fancy Hare core for my Gila which pushes its DPS to 1000.
Loved the video all around, great discussion. As a drone pilot, brought back memories of a time before BSs. When I first saw the title though, I wondered what’s the point of cruisers. My apoc can 1 shot them as can my carrier and dread. I REALLY wish we had small ship exclusive content. I still have my vexors in storage. Would love a reason to skill back into cruisers. Unfortunately for both pvp and pve there are just better options.

They're not world-beater ships like the Stabber for 1v1 action, but they can take on anything on the grid in the same ship! Great as a support ship with Interdiction defense because they can decloak CovOps ships with the new drone orbit function! For me, I make all of my own drones, so the drone bays are full of Thermal and Kinetic small and medium drones, on all my Vexors! The Inertia bonus makes it one of the fastest warping Cruisers out there, so it's a great fast response heavy tackle ship for defending miners and ratter's! The tank on these can be immense, so if it tackles you, it's extremely hard to get it off you! Where most mess up, is they try to stack DPS, pretending that it's the Caracal or Stabber. It's not, it's the mistake the enemy makes when they try to fight this brick tank for too long, and help arrives before they can even get close to finishing it lol! 😂 The Vexors can have double or even triple reps, massive resistances, or double or triple plates! Forget DPS until CCP decides to give us C-type and more faction drone options. I don't even run MK9 drones, just MK5 and MK7! Still stay well within 405-550 DPS, which is more than enough when you consider the fact that they can't get through you, and your orbit speed, resistance, and overall tank is mitigating damage! Yes, the Gila is better for ratting, and for me, I build my own Gila's, so it's also now a regular PvP option as well! However, I also build my own Vexors as well, so the Vexor is a much cheaper option! The Gila is also easily defanged, so I build it to be able to depend solely on the missiles if necessary. Only using the drones as secondary DPS, instead of primary like most Gila pilots. The Gila is God-tank! I can easily have 100k EHP on this thing, but it's also really slow with subpar Capacitor?! Both ships are great for gate camps though! Drone boating is my thing! Also the Large Rapid option is a phenomenal fitting trick against Cruisers and above! Another fitting new little trick I use now that we have fuel tanks, is fitting it as a support logi! Fit the highs as repairers instead of missiles, and the mids with group reps, while still having 400 DPS in just drones! Now it's tanky, and repping friends! For this build you'll need to rock a Cap battery and Cap stability rigs. Then you can choose your group repair option and reps based on the fleet type you're in! You can run a trifecta of shield, armor, and capacitor group boosters, becoming a reserve to keep the fleet topped up! It's the ultimate miner/ratter babysitter ship! This is a great utilitarian ship for early game pilots to get into mercenary and pirate PvP early on! Even in it's description, the Gallente describe it as a great ship for sustained combat operations! Fly aggressive o7
Nice video as always. A bit out of subject of this video, but there's some thoughts that I want to share. Honestly, I think all cov-ops ships that we have in game right now are technically a force recons, which shouldn't have much combat abilities but rather focus on disruption and cynos. They're way to strong right now and I think they should have much less firepower but Instead utilize some e-war bonuses to help allies. And to not disappoint fans of those ships (i like such type of gameplay myself) here's my little idea. What do think if there'll be ships like stabber cov-ops, vexor cov-ops, etc, which would work like combat recons with a bit weaker cloak bonuses and no cynos, but with much better combat abilities? I think this would be really nice addition to what we have right now and would make much more sense than current cov-ops ships, which works as both combat and force recons right now
If I was to compare the arby vs the vexor I feel they are pretty well matched when it comes to there traits. The vexor while it deals considerable dps, is slow and sluggish while the arby is the other way around, being able to warp faster and if using a tracking disruption mod. Can almost outrun most guns it comes across. But to be fair the arby is MUCH more fragile than it's gallente rival. It just depends on what type of job these two ships use. I know that benzie was comparing the T10 equivalent versions of arby and vexor but this is just how I see it.
The Vexor 2 excels with Automatic Defense. The 5 drones gives you 5 charges which makes Automatic Defense reliable at a lower level (i.e. actually affordable for players) and makes fitting sensor dampeners actually make sense. The extra low slot and bonus to DCU is a huge upside to the Vexor. A lot of PvP just comes down to an initial burst of damage and the DCU bonus lets you survive the 18 seconds to exert absolute control over the fight. I’m not a fan of dual armor reppers on a Vexor. I’ve faced a few and just tore them apart…wasted low slots in my opinion. In fact, I’m not a fan of any part of your build. Just looks like you are trying to fly a Vexor like a Gila. It’s not a Gila. Lean into mobility and EWar capabilities of the Vexor and you’ll completely shut down battleships and capitals while still being able to shred any frigates sent at you like any good little drone ship should.
@@pabloincell35 large shield extender, dcu, mwd, drone dmg, red. Auto D as implant and a sensor dampener to combo with it, long point and whatever else for the last mid. I run that with a sleeper core on it, extender+dcu+sleeper gives me several oh sht buttons.
@@pabloincell35 rig wise I have 2 activations and a dmg, then a targeting, semi, and dynamic. Could probably switch up my eng rigs or add more tank but it’s been working. 801 dmg cold, can’t complain. Use it for roams primarily, can play unlock hell loops with big boys.
@@pabloincell35 Very much depends on what you want to do. It’s possible to get the Vexor 2 under a 2 second align time if that’s your thing. I’ve messed around with oversizing shield extenders, oversizing afterburners, oversizing neuts, what have you (I don’t recommend spending your valuable power grid and rig slots on oversizing your high slots…it’s only a few extra dps which is nothing compared options like tripling your base shields). It is a very flexible hull. My only must haves is a DCU (duh) and Automatic Defense. The implant is crazy good and the Vexor is the best ship at using the implant. If you are looking for anything more specific, you’ll have to tell me what you want to use it for because there is no such thing as a one size fits all fit.
T10 cruisers can easily kill Battleships. Check out Vetemunes latest video. 2 cruisers take out Apoc striker plus others. I would have no issues approaching a battle ship in that Vexor 2
I have to say implants have broken the game in a good/bad way by use of implants. They are very very expensive to apply but for example im doing t7 with a can yue on railguns. Gettimg over 500 dps and 900 dps when activated and im only on the 1st set of attributes. Implants make many fits possible when you cant spec. Slap on an implant. Now your laser ship is great dps missile ship.

There is never the higher quality diode miners in the market, so I decided to buy the blueprints to build them myself, but the blueprints don’t seem to exists; so I decided maybe I should try to do pve for them, I’m a miner😬, what anomalies should I do to get these high quality miners/blueprints? I really want to make use of this implant but why use it over something like draining cap with missles or outright doing more damage?

I love my vexor 2 got to hyperspatical 3 an a auxiliary 3 its fast warp fast alignment tank for combat rigs they are mean against frigs an dessies
