The sheer complexity of the game and how seriously it is played is what got me hooked to eve. Just started playing since the Eve echoes release date and I am gonna be playing this for a long time.

For the Big Succ to truly shine, you need to be almost entirely specced into frigate play I'd say getting into expert frigate and laser skills is an absolute must. It's for the truly dedicated frig players out there. If you're paying half a bil for one, you may as well pay another half a bill to fit it, and keep it cap stable. Depending on what you plan to fight, I'd run either two webs or two disruptors. Can't wait for us to be able to name ships. Mine is named the VW Beetle in EO.
I think you are off about the speed boost to the afterburners. The 300% (ish) was after the boost from the skill so not 600% boosted speed. Makes it significantly slower then MWDs. Just a heads up.
Its interesting to see the damage and speed differences skill training make for this ship, after you gave it back I got the speed up to about 3200m/s on afterburner before the end of the FT.

Can't speak for cruisers, but "similar" frigates would be the interceptors and assault frigates. Minmatar frigates especially come pretty close. You'll never tank nearly as efficiently though.
@@itstheprot I'd stay lasers and just spend your first bil on a succ fit. It's well worth it. What sucks is spending skill points on armor skills since it's a shield tank. Just stick to amarr and passively train your shield and AB skills while you grind. You literally only need frig skills, AB, E-war, and lasers to fly it well. I'm 100% frigate focused until i hit tier 8 for BCs, because a succ basically requires expert skills to be worth the money. Find a corp that'll help you grind money in anomolies while you skill grind.

Captain Benzie, Please help me. How did you get around the region lock for the Beta? I live in South Africa and had no luck, i have heard that the game wont be launching next week in all regions, im worried South Africa will be one of those regions getting shafted again. @@captainbenzie Neut would be ideal, though does have a high cap cost iirc. Given we're likely to be facing a lot of these faction ships with high warp stability it may be best actually to have 2 or even 3 warp scramblers. Those ships aren't remarkably fast, after all, and the Nightmare could fly circles around them even with them going full speed. Also it may be worth it to lower the orbital speed down a few thousand meters. I'd have to do the math on it (sadly EE doesn't give a handy listing of such statistics like EO) but I imagine that doing like 1000m/s at 3000m would be better for safely dealing with such a large ship than 1500m/s or whatever at 6000m. Not sure, though. In either case that 200+ tracking speed (I'm guessing in degrees per second) means you'd be hard pressed to go too fast for your guns. In either case going at an artificially slower speed at a closer range means that if you do get webbed, you have some extra power in your engines that you can tap into to boost your power a bit to bring you back up closer to that 1000 m/s or whatever your ship's inertia/agility allows for.
Another faction with Jovian Tech. Stolen of course but they suffered the consequences for doing it from the Amarr AND Jovians! No wonder it's such a lethal frigate!

That Succubus will be a great speed tank for defending battlecruisers with field shield and it can target anything that gets close.

Capt, Succubus is pretty hard to obtain, any recommendations on non faction ships for PvP? Preferably cruisers class Capt.
