    Thank you for this lesson, especially the starting ideas. I have a new return board, have not set it up yet, have been a bit intimidated thinking I would not be able to use it right. But with your lesson I am now confident and anxious to get it going. Great job.

      Yeah I get that! It took me 3 days with the board before shooting this video and even then I thought this went horribly wrong 😑 😂
      Take it slow and build up on your “start”. After that it will get easier :)

    3:20 how to start. The easiest way to start is to drop a ball on the table from some height. Than you can hit a ball easy. To start with a ball in hand and from air is more difficult. Regards for all TT players and fans.

    This video has sold me on getting a Wally board. I was thinking of getting a machine but this board will do the trick.

      Hi Michael :)
      The main difference is:
      If you're looking to improve your existing techniques then definitely go for the board.
      But, if its a matter of learning "new" techniques and shots then the robot would be my best suggestion. Because Wally Rebounder won't as effective as a robot in that matter.
      Please check out what current top 100 world rank player had to say about the board :)

    This a great video and a very cool training aid. How would you compare this return board to a lower end robot? This seems like it checks a lot of boxes for grooving stroke technique.

    • @dublintabletennisclub
      @dublintabletennisclub  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      New subscriber to the channel I see :) Well, welcome to the club mate!
      The comparison can't really be made as both equipment have their own purpose because of pure level of player. The robot is more for beginners / intermediate to sharpen the quality and consistency of the technique. While the board is to "perfect" it. You can't be anything besides a close advance technical player to actually be able to use this board for your benefits.

    • @dublintabletennisclub
      @dublintabletennisclub  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Still topspin from your own start, but it will be reduced spin and be added with more "speed" than spin. Your technique needs to control the speed and counter the spin each time.

    is your blade dhs pg7?

    • @dublintabletennisclub
      @dublintabletennisclub  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is similar to that. It is a special edition blade that they do not manufacture anymore. But I would say the PG7 would be the closest. I would put European rubbers on it which is weird I know, but somehow it worked really well in control and touch when I coach. For playing I would use harder and tackier rubbers to suit the blade more. Makes it real fast.
