Memories are flooding back --- because 40 years ago, my French girlfriend and I --- trekked from Pokara lakeside --- to Jomoson and Mutinath roundtrip --- a glorious 17 days in all. We were guided my two cheerful Nepali porters, whom we meet casually in a chai shop. In 1983 --- there were no motor-roads the entire way --- only pristine mountain trails the whole way Now you can even fly to Jomoson --- or take a bus.

Note wanted to zip line down the mountain to return back. Surprisingly there’s one in Pokhara where the zip line stars from the top of the hill and there are nice hotels too, to all the way down to the bottom with your bag pack too so you don’t have to go back up and it’s pretty long and it’s cool. If you guys wanna view mighty snowy mountains from close and don’t want to go on a multiple days long trek, Poon Hill is just the destination.

It’s a fabulous place Pokhara, I stayed at a yoga retreat there back in 2019 up a mountain over looking the lake and town, it was one of the best weeks of my life. ❤️ 🇳🇵
