Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

I'm from India and I completely understand the Nepali sentiment of not wanting to be clubbed under "Indian" food. Nepal and Bhutan have such beautifully distinct Himalayan cultures. Lovely, warm, hard working, enterprising people.
Plus the jhol momos and lai sak are the bomb

Even Indian food is pretty diverse, each state has multiple cuisines. But for ease of outsiders and westerners all the countries in SE call it Indian food with their country's variations. Even in the last video about Nepal, they mention how they need to add Indian tag for sales which is necessary

No joke. I am tempted to fly back there just to indulge in some street food and Nepali people will spoil you with hosiptality and care. The best people in my opinion.

There was a food show I used to watch about American food(can't remember it's name but the host was named, 'Adam Richman'), and every time they were at a restaurant that had an eating challenge (if you eat an obscene amount of food before time runs out, you don't pay, etc) he would always try it. I never saw him complete any of these, but every time I saw an episode where the show happened to get footage of someone else completing these challenges, it was always a super skinny, 5foot nothing woman! It was insane to watch. I remember one, when not only did the tiny bird eat everything in record time, but then ordered dessert!!! It really was mind boggling

Well the laphing comes in two different varieties, dry and soup based. Also, thukpa is any noodles served with soup. The one shown here isn’t called thukpa but tenthuk (not sure about the spelling), and it's not soup based, also known as keema noodles. (Keema simply means ground meat). Chowmein is noodles that's stir fried in wok with vegetables and meat of your choice which you can usually find in North India. Thank you for your query. Cheers!

What are some good nepali vegetarian options?

    • @geekgirl0101

@@THEHORSELOVER235 vegetarian Momo, daal bhat tarkari prepared in 100s different ways, chowmein, thukpa, thakali food, laphing, aloo tama, gundruk, etc. it’s super easy to be vegan in Nepal because we don’t cook with dairy. Sadly his videos don’t show vegan foods
