I am working my way through all the lessons. I just finished Lesson #3. I love how systematically Terry has organized his lessons so far. It will be easy to go back to find what I need when I need a refresher, which is sure to happen. This is a great series so far. Gotta go.... on to Lesson #4 now! Thank you Terry!!!!
Somehow your channel came up and would like to say thank you. Ps has always scared me, now not so much. I truly appreciate what you are shearing. Thank you.
Wow! loving these tutorials, Terry. Thank you so much Terry for all the effort you have put in to make these lessons, as you said..'take away the intimidation' of working on photoshop.
Glad it’s working for you Julio. My plan is to release a new episode every Tuesday and Friday, at least for the first month, then once a week after that. Thanks for watching.
Great videos! Thanks for sharing these. One thing I noticed as I went along was my toolbar isn't the same as yours and I found I can edit the toolbar which kind of fits in with your comment at 16:50. You can easily fix this with the edit toolbar. The toolbar is completely configurable. Again, thanks much for the demo. It's exactly what I needed being a newbie photoshop guy.
Hello Terry) Thanks for these video tutorials! Really what I need right now. Please tell me, how do you go from LrC to open PS to full screen automatically hiding the dock on the Mac? I have to hide dock by pressing com+opt+D, and then select screen size (F). There seems to be a better and faster way to hide the dock and go full screen. Thanks in advance.
I generally, don't hide the dock. I pull the corners of the screen up a little bit to make sure I can see everything. I need to get to the dock, (to switch back to LRC) I can. Once you size the background of your Photoshop layout it should stay that way, the next time you open it up. Let me know if this works for you.
Trying to follow along with using the tools and keep getting a pop up "could not use the tool because the target channel is hidden" what am I doing wrong?
Hey Terry and thanks for the awesome videos. I have a question: When using the any brush tool, is there a way to adjust something you've already done? Ex: I darkened the area around the eye, but it was a little too dark. However, when I change the exposure from 25% to 15%, nothing happens. I have to undo the brushing I just did, change it to 15%, and then rebrush it. Instead of erasing the brush and starting over, can I just adjust the brush I already did? I'm trying to avoid having to re-brush something every time I make an adjustment.
Hi David, There are two ways to handle this. One, right after you brush, you can change the opacity of that brush by going to EDIT > Fade. This slider will allow you to change the opacity of that LAST brush move. This is useful but only if you catch it right away. A better solution is to do all of your edits on separate layers. Then at any point you can go back and change the opacity of that Layer to your liking. I see you are on the tools video - this is discussed in detail when you get to the videos on Layers you have a few more to go. th-cam.com/video/PeD7uhc8R4U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UsGxfScSKkXNxL2a
Revisiting a technique over a few times, even after you have done it, will help retain the info. Kind of like playing a guitar, once you learn a song, go back to it from time to time to remember how it goes. Good luck!
You tutorials are great bu you are not getting the views that you should, I think you should put your skills of PS to make an awesome eye catching Thumnails for your videos. Make a Thumbnail that is flashy and you in it with facial expressions, people love to click such videos.
I actually hate those types of thumbnails, and I clicked on your videos because the description was good, the videos are divided into bite-size topics, and it was high on the recommendation list when searching for photoshop tutorials.
Thanks again Terry, your efforts are much appreciated.
You are very welcome
Love your classes, I'm learning more each and every time. Thank you so much for doing this.

You need to make sure that the layer that your working is on. Click the eyeball on the left side of the layer to turn it on or off. Good luck!

@@tv510 thank you! That's very helpful, and I'll stay patient assuming you'll answer most of my questions in future videos
