Terry, another video with great explanations on tools, I love running your video on my laptop and working on my images on the desk top, great to be able to watch a bit and then stop your video to try out the technique. I learn by doing and your explanations make this much much easier.
This is a really great video you did, Terry. I learnt a lot. I especially like the part which you teach about the clone stamp tool + lasso tool in photoshop when you edited the bird's beak around 17 mins. I needed that teaching for my video thumbnail editing :) I tried that, and it solved my problem (somewhat cos' my skills aren't as good as yours haha), but of course I still need a lot more practice to do it so professionally like yours :) Thank you so much!
Great video Terry. One question, in PS24 how are you able to use the "Z" key to select an area and enlarge it? I also have the latest of both programs, and cannot determine how you are able to do it. Can you explain? Thanks,
Hi KV, they way to zoom in PS24 is to hit the Z key (shortcut for the zoom tool), you can also just click on the zoom tool at the bottom of your tool icons (it looks like a magnifying glass.) Hover your cursor over the area that you want to zoom in on and click and drag a box around it. Pretty simple, but there is one catch: At the top of the screen you have a command bar that gives you options to every tool you select. In order to get this type of zoom, you have to turn Scrubby Zoom off (un-check the box). Scrubby zoom was added a few years ago and I never got used to it, so I turn it off. Let me know if that works for you.

Glad to help Shona, that is a great way to learn. Thanks for watching.
Never thought of using selection in Photoshop to help with retouching. Great tip!
Yeah Tom, I use that technique all the time. That way I don't do something squirrelly. Thanks for watching.
Another great video Terry, I learn something new from you every time. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Have a great Holiday Season!!

@@tv510 Yes, Terry worked perfectly. Thanks so much. Do you know of a book that guides you through PS 2024?
I am planing some beginner videos for 2024 - those might help.@@kvfrank
Great info! I’ve found that sometimes, content aware in PS does a better job than it does in LRC. A bit weird but …
I would tend to agree with you Bruce, but LRC works most of the time for simple retouching. Thanks for watching.
