Really nice video friend! I’m headed over to Fab’s website to buy a ceramic kit in a moment and do this myself. I do have a question, who did the seat covering on that purple Harley? It looks awesome and matches that showstopper bike perfectly!
@darcher5888 Thank you! Its super easy to do...just get the paint right and the ceramic part is easy...the seat is the raptor from Advanblck..they have a few colors available www.advanblack.com/raptor-seat-with-diamond-stitching-ostrich-leather-for-08-up-harley-touring.html
sorry for the late reply...some of these slipped by me...and you are correct...prep is the key...I have full on older videos that go through the entire process but we are updating them now with new products.
Absolutely appreciate your detail videos, I did this on my old RoadGlide, she still looked good when I traded her, now, the new Whiskey Fire, RoadGlide gets the same treatment soon! Thanks Steve!
You know bro I used to like detailing my bike, giving her a good wax and enjoying the shine but as I get older all that elbow grease kinda sucks LOL I appreciate that I can get the same shine and it lasts longer with minimal effort with this stuff. I still have to do the Road glide and maybe the truck and wifes car...tons of work still ahead of me

@sikbaggers Your telling me! I paint corrected and ceramic coated my AT4 over the winter, it's black and GM paint sucks to begin with, I was so sick of it by the time I got done I didn't get to the bike, but I better get on that now!
I use TORQUE. It's fast simple, and last year at Sturgis, after 3-4 days of rain and mud, a water hoes and 5 minutes, I had show room shine without doing anything. I have a detail if I want it better. It's expensive but it works awesome! You dont wash it off either.
ah man last year at sturgis suuuuucked bro...the campground we were at was gravel but I seen the bikes coming out of the others...I woulda been pissed lol. I never seen the torque but I see they have a 2 year 7h hardness and its on sale now for 75 and detailer for another 40...when its time for a new hit of ceramic after your 2 years you should try this maybe..its a 5 year with a 9h harness and it comes with the detailer spray for 79. I was actually shocked when I saw the price...most ceramics and detailers are priced much higher than his. I will do an update video on it as time passes on longevity.
Yes sir they are the newage cabinets...had them for about 4 years now and just got two more for the garage addition and 2 more for the wifes garage. It'll be interesting to see how well it holds up to the illinois bugs n crap. Being from illinois myself I know how they can be at times. Idk about how it is where you're at but we get alot of buffalo gnats and they'll absolutely cover your bike quickly. Great video as always. 💚👊
Yes it will..and only time will tell..I've coated previous bikes and they stood up and the gnats and bugs are way more manageable if you take the time to wipe them off every couple of days if you are riding daily...the more you let those things set and bake into anything the worse it gets to get them off. Im in southern Illinois and we get plenty of them in the summer.. Thanks for checking out the video!
I ceramic coated my SGS, what a job washed it twice, Claybared it, washed it twice again. But now to clean it I just hit the pressure washer on light go over it, Then pull out the lawn blower that has a HD emblem on it. This dries it and BOOM Im done in 30 minutes.
@@sikbaggers I must say any leaf blower WILL damage your paintwork ❗ as it don't have a filter & all dust, dirt, anything that the blower intake sucks in.... I use cerakote I started brand new stripping it from all of its wax. Clay barred re waxed it and then cerakote it. It took me about a week to get it all good.
@@sikbaggers it hardens over times I was skeptical about it at first. But I had a 7 year plan from the dealership as long as I didn’t wash it with dawn dish detergent. I took my Harley to a different dealership and washed my bike with dawn dish detergent without asking. I mean I get it they was trying to do something nice but they should have asked. So anyway I was trying different things from different companies. I ran across the cerakote ceramic sealant at Walmart and it works great but you just have to follow the directions. I’ve never used fab but I would definitely like to give it a try next time.
Great video steve, fantastic finish,i have used so many different waxes ,on my bikes over the last 40,odd years,i use canuba wax,on my softail, i am considering ,ceramic,?????,regards mike ,United Kingdom
Hey Mike I am the same way bro..Ive used cheap stuff all the way up to 300 USD for a small can...its just what we know and we know it works so we keep doing it...but thats kind of the problem..we have to keep doing it, over and over and over lol Ceramics definitely are way more hydrophobic than waxes and last a ton longer. I would say if you plan on keeping the bike over 2 years this will pay for itself in money and in time. Ive used a few ceramics in my day, one of which I didnt even do the video on because it turned out like trash and I had to buff the whole bike off...I was truely shocked at how easy this was to use though...a 1/4 of the time to do versus waxing.
@sikbaggers great advice Steve,I have some cabuba wax, called, harley wax, nothing to do with harley motor company, made in usa, its, brilliant, but hard work,on fenders, and tank,I suppose,I am old school, just ordered some of those tri bar auxiliary light trims, for my deluxe, from factory 47,thanks for your videos, ride safe Steve, and all brothers, and sisters, regards mike ,United Kingdom
Every bike factory from HD has a coating on it that needs to be removed. Its an oil-based coating to make them look good in the showroom, by far not a wax but its still oil...so you must do an ISO wipe on everything you plan on coating.
Hey Dustin..here is my video on basic paint correction and all the steps and products we like to use here th-cam.com/video/sDzToxL0L6M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lDpMRGizJBvgeUVk

Ideally that would all be great but Not many of us have access to a paint booth...wish I did lol ...that is why i suggest you do the final wipe one piece at a time right before you apply the ceramic. thank you for checking it out! Much appreciated.
I follow Mr Fab all so , good channel. But I am surprised he is misleading you with the statement "a ceramic coating for motorcycles". Most all ceramic coatings work on cars, boats, airplanes and motorcycles. I bought Armor Shield ceramic coating because of the ease of application and used it on both the wife's car and my 2010 Ulra Limited, it works great on both, and really makes cleaning up the motorcycle easy. I just power wash the bugs off, then power wash the bike, use a soap cannon, lightly wipe soap of, then power wash again and blow dry with a leaf blower, works great. I think fab is trying to mislead people into thinking he has the only ceramic coating for cycles, not true.
I think you are mis understanding the concept of this whole thing. Its tailored and targeted to motorcycles. That's his target audience with this kit. Clearly it can be used on anything...its ceramic coating. There is no such thing as a ceramic only for motorcycles.
Hey I appreciate you supporting the channel but I’m not trying to mislead anyone. I called it a motorcycle coating because I’m targeting the motorcycle market and I was tired of needing more than one coating to coat a bike like I stated in my video. I also wanted to make sure it was safe for denim or matte paint which not all coatings are. It can absolutely be used on vehicles also with the same great results as I also stated in my video.
Think you’re reading too much into it. A good ceramic coating is a good ceramic coating. A lot of motorcycles out there without a coating, he’s just aiming at those consumers.
