The 1st bike I ever did to this extent minus using IGL eclipse was a 6 month old '22 cruiser and I thought it might take me 10 hours and I was quite wrong lol. I spent 15 hours start to finish which is almost double the time as many car. Most of the time is spend polishing chrome and it's a slow tedious process but once your done makes a massive difference. I nearly doubled my prices for That service after that job.

For the viewers, if you do not want to use a bug removal chemical, I use ONR only for my bug removal. A little elbow grease & sometime a non scratch pad will remove most of the bugs. Any bugs left over, use a little detailer with a microfiber. Remember, start less aggressive first.

Brian, I had my Roadglide ceramic coated professionally about 2 yrs ago and man what a difference it makes for time spent cleaning it. I follow your lessons to a tee for washing and maintaining it at home and when my detailer sees it his guys ask if I ever ride it. (I definitely do!) Thanks to you I have a beautiful bike and know how to love it without leaving love marks!

I've never washed my motorcycle with a hose. I've always used all sorts of rinseless wash's in a chemical sprayer. and optimum power clean at 3:1 have always tore through the harshest of tar and chain residue. I only use Sonax BSD and polymer net shield on the bike because of how grabby and non slick it is. the last thing you want on a super sport is something slick on the tank and side panels.

That looked amazing afterwards. I wasn’t a fan of that blue, but when you were done it was so silky and rich I loved it. Where are you located? I have vivid black and it’s a pain especially with swirls etc.

Brian, I have an off topic question not related to this video. I use jescar ceramic power lock sealant on my truck. I’ve been currently topping that with jescar bead it/ceramic spray wax. I came across your video on technicians choice ceramic detail. I was intrigued. In your personal opinion what is the better topper out of the two? Or do you recommend a different topper? When I used to use regular power lock plus non ceramic, I used to use collinite 845 as a topper. Jescar sealant has always done me well. That’s why I stick with it. It just seems jescar bead it, doesn’t last long. I appreciate your response and your my go to guy on detailing. Your videos are great! Thank you for all you share with us!

Did you have a ton of static on removed parts where the removed parts are like dust magnets after wiping polish & panel prep? I'm doing the exact same bike and don't know how to get the coating on without all the dust settling on it. Will that cause a prob. with finished look being embedded in the coating surface? I've coated cars in the same garage with no problems. Very frustrating.

Awesome job on the bikes Brian! I just came across this video now and am detailing and coating the exact same bike you worked on. I also was wondering how I was going to coat the engine parts and all the pebbleblack. Can you share the link to your spray gun, nozzle size & what PSI you ran the gun at?
Spraying ceramic, wouldn't you want to be wearing a respirator & paint suit so the aerosolized particles aren't being inhaled or through your skin pores?
I was thinking of using an airbrush gun to get in the fins on the motor. Do you have to wipe off after spraying? Can I buy the Eclipse from you?
Also, does the sprayed on last as long as your metal oxide coating?
Could your BC1 coating be sprayed on instead of using Eclipse?
Was that your $900 pkg? I'm in OH so I think our markets are similar. Sorry for all the ?'s. My first bike detailing. Appreciate any advice.

This video is awesome! Thank you so much I daily drive a 2016 Harley road glide and desperately need videos like this to keep it clean. Please make some more videos for beginners as well as people like me that constantly ride the bike but don't have the equipment or money to code it like you are doing. Is turtle Wax hybrid solutions the best thing for the average joe?

    Hi Brian
I would like to start detailing bikes. What would you suggest for a good first time polisher? Do I go with a 3" or 5". I would love to see a video on this. I imagine I would have to use a 3'. Any demos that you have would great be appreciated
    Thanks
    Bob

I have a Harley trike to do tmrw. My 1st bike. Tbh, I'm a little nervous about washing it but the client wants a ceramic. I have the McKees 37 5yr ceramic. Would this be safe to use? Also, can I use that on the wheels?
    TIA

That looks great, Brian. Quick question: I used LVR 404 Helios and am going to follow with Poly Seal. It’s been a week in the garage since 404 - should I use IPA or just ONR before I do
poly seal? Wasn’t sure if the IPA would take off the 404
