Honestly they are the most believable loving couples- even when conflicting/ arguing ?They have rules they abide by and so much chemistry ! Their banter / talk seems honestly to come form decades together....brilliant casting and acting! Also ? Stockard Channing emits the vibrance and sexuality that makes him giving up the idea of the priesthood? Utterly believable!

The worst thing to happen to this show was lose Sorkin and all his weirdness after season 4. They totally fucked up this couple after he left and it was so unnecessary and out of character.

They both went to Notre Dame. One of the best schools in the country that just so happens to be a catholic school. Jed has always generally been the smartest person in the room and has had strong religious feelings. You can be both. Just because your an atheist dosnt make you automatically smarter.
