I was having a pretty rough time around my birthday last year, everyone in the household myself included just too busy and tense to be thinking about such things. I was just playing ORAS on my 3DS a little before midnight (one of my few quiet moments), expecting nothing special, and then I walked into the Pokecenter to heal my party... It was such a heartwarming feeling when the lights came on and the confetti came down and the music played. Almost brought me to tears, great job Gamefreak!

The first time I played Pokemon on my birthday was last year on sun and moon. I was having a very bad day, and was very lonely. When I walked in, I thought team skull took over another center but when the confetti went off and the excited birthday wish, I actually did tear up. I've been alone most of my life, grew up in foster care so no surprise parties in my life. This was such a nice sentiment; like someone actually cares. I know it was just a game but it still... For a moment... Made me smile on a very lonely day.
I remember in Animal Crossing when the villagers celebrated my birthday for the first time, I was genuinely shocked and was crying a bit because someone decided to add that into the game. It’s just the fact that someone not only decided to wish the player a happy birthday but also implemented the feature.
It makes sense for Animal Crossing because you are known and can become friends with the villagers, and it is about building relationship with your village, but in Pokemon, the only people you really build a relationship with is your pokemon, rivals, friends, some professors, and random NPCs sometimes. It is so great that games sometimes care more than others, and that's why we love games so much, They give us the attention we need that no-one else does.
I miss the birthday gift Pokémon, too. I wish we got more of those, especially here. There's a whole bunch of little birthday events in the later games, and I love it. 😊
I remembered the theory where Nurse Joy says “hope you come back soon” as a means of hoping pain on your Pokémon so you come back to give her business.... And the birthday message of “hope you come back years to come” I was like “well she upped her ante”

Like usually I'm sorta interested in what TH-camrs are advertising, but whenever I see Raid, I'm like, "Oh...It's Raid again." They just don't seem to understand that repeatedly throwing the same ad at people over and over won't make them want to buy the game any more than they did at the beginning.
I'm currently unable to, but if you can frame them for something big and sue them, they will no longer sponsor, as they can't give out any more money : )

@Jeremy Jensen I agree but Raid should tone it down a bit. The reason everyone hates them is BECAUSE they hand out so many sponsorships. Like usually I'm sorta interested in what TH-camrs are advertising, but whenever I see Raid, I'm like, "Oh...It's Raid again." They just don't seem to understand that repeatedly throwing the same ad at people over and over won't make them want to buy the game any more than they did at the beginning.

When x and y came out, i was probably like 11, i played it actually on my birthday, and freaked out when i saw the pokemon center say happy brithday to me.
@Nguyễn Khang Thịnh when you set up a 3Ds you out in your bday and automatically when you go into the Pokemon centre on your bday it will do the little animation once but everytime you ask to heal your Pokemon, she'll say happy birthday.
