Pedal effort basically. lotta track guys use a 1in or 1in 1/16in master. but warmed up track pads have friction coefficients of 0.7. autocross doesnt get as much heat into the brakes, & pads that work on the colder end are less aggressive around 0.45 friction. so I use a 3/4 front and 7/8 rear master. a 3/4in master basically has 50% less pedal effort as a 1in master.
How much difference the pedel feel from power to manual? I just drive my bird on street primarily but with built motor and vacuum cannister lose power brakes pretty quickly around town
Do you know if I can run the motion Raceworks manual master 3rd gen kit with a stock proportional valve and stock lines, my brakes are completely stock but working on getting bigger front and disk brakes in the rear
What is the benefit from your new plate system? I have original brakes. Less flex but do you really feel it? And what is the benefit for manual brakes?
I won't speak for 3rd Gen Guy, but the extra stress on the firewall over thousands and thousands of pedal pushes can actually tear the firewall over time.
Hey in regards to the brake switch, did you use a two wire one just so the brake lights work? I converted over to T56 and was given a 4 wire switch. Not sure what the other 2 are for. Just curious to see what you did
I don't know if you discuss it in another video, but why did you decide to go with a balance bar and dual master cylinder set-up?

I like manual brakes.
but it's not for everyone.
What was the size of the master you went with
I changed my brakes a lot since that video.
manual brakes typically use a 7/8 master cyl.

usually you can get away with a 7/8in manual master
how did you do your brake lines?
flair tool and a lot of cursing.
keep in mind master cly move, so my test lines off the master weren't ideal.
Looking to purchase plate. Where can i get one. Thanks
Love it.. When there for sale let me know. I'll take one.
Me too.

Manual brakes are necessary with a racing engine because the engine doesn’t have enough vacuum to operate power brakes.
Cool video. Nice work.

i used the 3rd gen brake light switch and all factory wires.
@@3rdGenGuy perfect. Thanks
What brand of "Dremel tool" BITS are you using? I have never found any that were of very good quality. Thanks
I got some 1/8 shank cheap ones off amazon years ago
What fittings did you use to go from your master cylinder to proportioning valve I would like to duplicate your setup..
they are -3an tube sleeves/nuts
why would you want a 1950's feel brake system, why not power brakes?
Power brakes only advantage is simply less pedal force.
for a race car that's no issue.
Look up why brake lines Crack
so ya u right, however those lines are temporary.
idk what master ill be using after i start testing the brakes when racing
What kind of master cylinder did you use?
???
that's a 4th gen master ill be using for now.
@@3rdGenGuy ok, and the connecting rod?
