@northwestweekenders coworker has a Klamath 14ft that he is selling me. I'll have too take you guys out when I get. I promised you that I would take you guys out in my boat back at abbey street couple of weeks ago.
Yes, that sucked and definitely wasn't ideal for the little one. Wish we could have hung around a while longer but it was just nice getting our for a drive! Glad you guys caught a couple!
Happy birthday! You know red rock crab you can keep any size any sex? Small ones not worth keeping but makes good snack sautéed in Siracha and sweet chili sauce. Great video thanks for sharing brother! Letsssss goooo tight lines!
For some reason this comment was under review and we just accepted it. Thanks for the kind words. Again, good luck crabbing. Sawyer's landing is awesome!
Sawyers Landing is $100 for 4 hours or $125 for an all day rental. Includes 3 rings (not baited) and a bucket and measurer. Great value and only a short 10-15 minute run up to the gas plant. Crabbing has also been great for us from the Sawyer's landing dock to well before the gas plant just on the inside of the channel. We will often start there and then if we're catching we won't run all the way up to the gas plant and beyond because the water is a lot calmer and there's little to no competition. It's also lot more relaxed and they have a shop, bathrooms, and they'll cook your crab for much cheaper than South Beach. They also have campsites. We've had nothing but great experiences there and also they will let you crab off the dock, say if you bring a group of five to six people and you can take turns on the boat while others crab off the dock. I've caught one of my biggest crab ever right off the dock! Hit this link to see us crabbing the river there. It gives you a great look look and review of Sawyer's landing and where to drop pots. th-cam.com/video/7pwWSGyrz-Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VUWfnXYJhQwaik6x
Well now, this looks VERY interesting!! I may just cancel our boat reservation at the marina store and rent a boat from Sawyer's. Do they rent 7 days a week or what? The marina store only rents Friday-Monday and charges way more than Sawyer's. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.@@northwestweekenders
@@ericcontreras901 My Dad and his girlfriend really enjoy them. A lot of people do actually. They are more work for less meat but it's a sweeter meat with a different texture than Dungeness.
I lived in Florence Oregon met in the mid 80s and we used to go up to Sallisaw river up too close to the ocean and there was like a dark out there but it goes out a bit and the guy actually crabbing right out there and they actually fry them right up their camp out there. I’ve got us dice and we cut a lot of crabs. I don’t mean to the girls from the bar I mean crabs off the dock in the water.😂
Happy Birthday Dad. Nice job you guys Keep up the good content.

What's the boat rental rate and what's included? We didn't even know this place existed.

Wow
😁
What was the cost of renting? Sweet video!
If I remember correctly it's $90 for half day (4 hours) or $120 for a full day (8 hours). Super sweet spot, low pressure and laid back.
What day was this?
This was 2 weekends ago!
Why keep the red rock ?
