I just got my first job working at a hospital and I pray I won't have any stalkers to deal with ugh. I get hit up on a lot in town already by creepy guys as it is. It's so scary.

In the first story, the girl calls up her father asking for advice, and he advises her to be cautious and stay alert... So she proceeds to leave a window unlocked, and then goes out on her own in an unfamiliar city to get drunk...

Never, ever, ever give out information about your coworkers for exactly what happened in this story. Don't confirm that a person works there, don't give out schedules and don't give information about them. If it's a job confirmation that's for a manager to do, but not the random answering the phone. Anything else just say you can't give out the information.
Exactly. There are even privacy laws for this reason. Giving away personal information could land you 5-10 years in jail

@agdoren I get what you're saying. That's great advice for a16 year old who just got their first job. Employers need to make that clear then. However, It's not the person's fault who gave out the full name, that what happened, happened. She had no idea what was going on. The whole thing situation could have been avoided if the victim promptly told her manager what was going, along with her co-workers. The manager would have banned the customer right away. The victim is @ fault here, not her co-worker. I respectfully disagree with you.

A word of advice: If you are visiting Brazil, Rio de Janeiro in particular, you lock every door and window even if you're home..

this is advice you could literally apply anywhere, because break-ins are NOT something that is Latine-exclusive, hate to break it to you. the United States, for example, has some of the most crime per capita on the planet, especially for murder and robbery. Guess where most of these true horror stories take place? America. Almost all break-ins told on this channel are from the United States. don't be stupid and think locking your doors/windows is something you should only do in certain countries; you do it EVERYWHERE.
I say anywhere on Earth. That's what I was taught growing up in the 60s. Don't trust anyone. Even those close to you. Always be prepared. I am.
All doors and windows are locked. I have a shorter wooden bat with a large piece of lead at the end right next to my bed. A whistle too.
I know a woman who was raped in her home in daylight hours. Her doors were locked, but he got in and was waiting for her. He had a knife and wore a condom. It busted open and she was impregnated. She only spoke of it once. I haven't dared ask her anything about it since.

I once worked in a restaurant and it definitely has its creepy moments. You deal with strangers and thousands of people go in and out, you never know when you’ll encounter a crazy person

We had a crazy man who ate at the restaurant I worked at about every other night. He always had a Kodak disposable camera with him. One night, the waitresses conspired to steal the camera and get the film developed to see what he was taking pictures of. So when he went to the restroom one of us pocketed the camera. He came back to the table and looked everywhere for that camera, then finally left. So the waitress took the film to be developed, and lo and behold, the man had been taking pictures of the behinds of the female staff. Next time he tried to come in, we showed him the photos and said he was no longer welcome there.

Like a Kodak?! Assuming this wasn’t the 2000’s or early 2010’s we have smartphones for a reason. If you’re gonna creep at least be discreet about it, but at least because he was dumb enough to go all out he was better caught & banned.

My uncle has somewhat of a horror story from a resturant. It was late December 1985 and my uncle was working on wall street at the time. Him and a few of his coworkers decided they were gonna eat out and went to Sparks Steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan.
They were sitting in the back of the resturant talking and whatever when they hear a bunch of pops. At first they thought it was a car turning on for a moment, then they heard a few screams and saw a bunch of people running towards the windows. They went over and saw a man lying dead on the ground next to a car. There was blood pooling from the side of his head with a vacant shocked expression on his face.
They found out later that it was Gambino Crime Boss Paul Castellano and that they had witnessed a mob hit. It shook up my uncle because he was never really exposed to that level of violence or crime before. Not really a horror story but definitely disturbing in my opinion.
I'd say that's definitely a horror story. I'm so sorry for your uncle, and for those people and that poor victim. 💔

I would def call that a horror story.
I was at a members only bar in the late 1970s in my teens. The front door was always locked. Bouncers everywhere. It was an after hours bar that closed at daylight.
One night very early in the am, one guy was pounding his glass on the bar, demanding another drink. A guy sitting next to him said, you want another drink? I'll give you one, as he smashed his large glass beer mug into the guy's throat. A lot of blood.
The cops came afterwards of course. No one was allowed to leave until being questioned. Don't know if the man survived.
Witnessed a lot of bizarre things at this place, but nothing as tragic as that.

This one really hits home a bit. My family's been in the restaurant business for almost 4 generations. My great grandfather owned a bar in South Philadelphia, than in 1959, my grandmother opened a restaurant named after his nickname, *"Barrels"* , and eventually had one opened up at the Jersey Shore in Margate. That's the one I grew up around. Now I'm 22 training to be a waiter as the only family member truly involved with the business.
I grew up in this industry where people genuinely cook, eat, and have a great time. So to hear stuff like this happen really upsets me. Prayers go out to the people of these stories.

The victim in the second story is a true warrior and a smart one. I'm absolutely proud that she went for the eyes of her attacker. If you're being attacked, always go for the eyes. It doesn't matter how big, strong, or tough somebody is, the most vulnerable and painful place to get hit is the eyes!
It never fails to make me smh when people in these stories know they're being watched/followed, yet they go get drunk and return home? Why?????

Mr. Nightmare is the reason I always sat vigilant when I go out in public.
In all my years of working, I’ve had multiple men call up my job or come to me asking about female coworkers and what their names are and I always say “I’m sorry sir, it’s against the law for me to divulge that information because of privacy.”
This makes me glad I left my first job at a fast food place.. as I only had an encounter like the 3rd story once, and sexual harassment type comments from a manager there twice.. never again.

It’s a shame what all these young women have to deal with. These older people still think we are in the 1950s. They should be told that it isn’t acceptable to try and hit on someone doing their job.
1950's? Predatory behavior was never accepted in society, as a matter of fact, the punishment for things like rape were more strict in the 1950's than it is now.

I had a stalker at work....for 8 months...super scary, when i reported him several times...they did nothing but move him to a different area. I dont see him anymore, but my husband bought me a gun, taser, and put up cameras at our house. You never know what people will do to you

It's a gorgeous place, lots to do, beautiful beaches, friendly people but you really need to be careful where you go (like in any big city anywhere in the world), especially outside the city. And the dish this person had is called 'feijoada". Very popular dish in Brazil. At least nothing happened to this person and the cops were very responsive and got the guy. Good job!

Let these stories be a warning to not just girls but to everyone to never give out your number to strangers, you never have an obligation to do so when you first meet someone. Be nice to customers, but don't be too nice or a pushover either, your only job is to give them food and drinks. Always have boundaries and never let anyone violate them.

Good on the writer from story 2. I just thought she would scream at the top of her lungs, which could possibly disorient the man. What she actually did was even better. In fight or flight mode, there's no such thing as fighting dirty, and this is the perfect example of that
The girl in story 2 is the OG! So proud of how she managed to get herself away from the creep. I had my jaw on the floor when she was grabbed by the man from behind. Disgusts me to no end how some terribly vile people are lurking out there to prey on innocent unsuspecting girls. That's why we should always keep our eyes peeled especially if you commute alone at night. Make sure to carry pepper spray and sharp objects with you. Who knows when these may come in handy! I just wish she reported this to the police but I understand why she didnt. Hope she completely recovers from this nightmare.

This is why women's rights is a mistake. They have the mental capacity of literal children and can't make decisions like grown adults.
If you think your being followed never go home. Confirm your being followed by walking around in a circle and then either go into a crowded area or building. If none of those are around, either call 911 if you have enough distance or turn around and stare at them and see how they react. You can also try screaming. Either scream HELP or FIRE since people tend to react more if it’s a fire.

That last one gave me the shivers, as someone who had a stalker who would mail me photographs of myself in various locations including outside my own home. There are some real crazies out there…
As a woman, these stories make me rather sad than creep me out. What world do we live in, that women have to be constantly scared of men. That they have to give up jobs, that they have to move, that they have to completely change their lifes just because they were polite to the wrong person once. And then there's always men saying how ridiculous it is we're always complaining about it because "well we're not all like that!" or "you know men can be assaulted too, right?"

As a guy, we don't say those things to invalidate the problems/trauma women face. We say them because there are people who blame all men for said problems/trauma and think that men are the problem

As a woman, when I see you on the street at night alone, I don't know if you're one of the "good" guys or if you will r*e me when I turn around so I have to be potentially scared of you and that is sad. Every woman I know, myself included, has at some point in her life experienced at least harrasment and misoginy, sometimes worse by men. We HAVE to assume "all men." By saying "well not all men", you show that you feel personally attacked and want to distance yourself from it, You're taking a very real problem that women have to face every day and make it about you, because YOU wouldn't do that, fine, but that doesn't change the problem and is as unhelpful as it's insensitive. What’s the first rule of gun safety? Act as if every gun is always loaded. Not all guns are loaded. But we still act as if they are, just to be sure.

Not really. These stories are not actually scary and Mr nightmare used to be so much better in the past. I've been a subscriber of his since 2014 and back then he was a lot more creative with his content. He used to tell not just creepy or scary stories but also creepypastas and stories that had a twist in them where you try to figure out what the plot twist was and meant and also stories with mysteries and interactive stories where you choose what the main character does and if you choose wrong then the main character of the story gets killed.
This story had me hooked from start to finish! It's a stark reminder that danger can hide anywhere, even in a seemingly routine job. Kudos for bravery. Always trust your instincts and stay safe, especially at night. This makes me rethink those late-night shifts. Stay safe, everyone!

I absolutely could. There is nothing special about this dude. He just reads other people’s stories. He deserves absolutely zero praise. It’s sad to think he probably gets paid well for this TH-cam channel. It’s disgraceful how TH-cam and platforms alike pay well for brushing a camera, reacting to videos, regurgitating, someone else’s stories, etc…never thought I’d see the day laziness is greatly rewarded, but that’s the world we live in now.

Lol, I wondered if someone would mention the tip! His burger and milkshake couldn’t have been more than $25, so that’s at least a 20% tip. That’s decent, I wouldn’t have felt like I was being cheap! Lol
In the last story, if she's acting like she's interested he's going to think she's interested. It doesn't matter if you want a good tip; NEVER treat a guy like you're interested unless you really are. She should've remained professional, taken his order & brought his meal. Anything beyond that she should have ignored or put a stop to.

I had a minor incident at the last restaurant I worked at. One other employee and I were taking out the trash, when two people showed up late, possibly in the middle of bar hopping. One of them began hurling insults and profanity at one of us. Me I suspect as I took arack of glasses out to the bar, when one of them was mean mugging and insulted me as I went back to the kitchen. Pretty bold to seemingly threaten an employee, part of me wishes he would of tried something like hopping over the bar, or following me back to the kitchen..where a Wafflehouse Brawl sort of situation could have easily happened.
Insane to me that people literally make us quit our jobs out of fear. It's hard to even get a job in the first place! Ugh people never seem to amaze me. So glad all the people who wrote were okay.
