Story 3 reminds me of a time I walked in on what I'm pretty sure was a mob meeting at this deli in Toronto. There was a pizzeria attached to it that never seemed to be open but one day when I went to the deli to get a sandwich, saw people in it and figured - what the hell, maybe I'll try a slice. The door from the deli area was unlocked so I go in, see a bunch of dudes sitting around a table, nobody at the register and nothing apparently being cooked, no 'pizza smell', everything looked brand new and never used. I just remember these guys at the table suddenly got real quiet and were all staring at me when I walked in. I took the hint and got the fug outta dodge. There was a murder at that deli some years later that was allegedly a hit by the Russian mob.

For anyone thinking about the thumbnail - it's an abandoned church in Czech Rebuplic named St.George's Church. It was left behind after the roof fell during a funeral. The ghosts are statues made by Jakub Hadrava, and because local belived it was haunted or cursed - he decided to play into this idea. The city failed to repair and renovate it due to low funds but now tourists have donated a lot of money for the roof to be reapiered. There were some tourists that didn't go in due to feeling uneasy because of the ghosts. I personally would go in as I find it hauntingly beautiful.

Story 4 really creeped me out… it’s honestly a lot like what happened to my church about a year ago. A staff member of the church, someone who I knew since I was a little kid, someone who was in charge of Youth activities and games, had turned out to be some kind of child predator. It makes it really creepy and weird to me because although he never tried anything on me, I always saw him as such a cool and fun guy. He talked to me a lot and had a nickname for me. It makes me uncomfortable thinking about it now because I don’t know if he was just trying to act nice, or had some, fucked up interest in me or not. I’m very glad I only ever met him in public areas, as it’s horrifying thinking of me and him in a room together. Obviously the church has cut him out, and I’m pretty sure he’s been arrested, or something like that.

@@mynameisGail I didn’t mean that it’s depressing to be there. If you’ve ever heard of the movie Hunchback of Notre Dame, it depicts this place with a backdrop of purple and dark blue, which goes along with my Gothic interpretation. It’s dark in tone but also intriguing and inspirational. Don’t ask me why, but it’s common to set cathedrals next to darkness - maybe because of the contrast of the light and the dark?

It was always eerie being there but I never had any experiences of any kind. When my wife and I were just dating, I brought her and our dog to alley springs to show her around and it immediately felt different than when I was young. Walking through the trails that I’ve been on dozens of times and it felt like being in someone else’s house without permission. Hair standing up, constantly feeling that we just should not be here. We toured the paper mill and then walked toward the church/school and that’s when our dog planted himself to the ground. He was staring directly at the church with his back hair sticking straight up and growling. And he WOULD NOT go any further. After the day we had, we looked at each other and nodded because we were both ready the gtfo and never come back. I have no idea what he saw and I think I’m fine with that.

Churches have been a theme for creepy stories for a long time. In Finnish folklore there is a concept of "Kalman väki" (lit. translated "people of death", specifically "decaying" death), of undead people who hold their own strange masses in churches at nights. "Kalma" is also a name of an ancient female death deity that was worshipped by some pre-Christian Finnic tribes as a goddess of death and decay, which adds another layer of creepiness.

I had a similar experience with a cult at an abandoned church. Honestly, telling the story is the best way to handle the weird vibe one gets from being present. I wrote a story with some truth mixed into the fiction, as I feared the worst if the actual truth were revealed. I published that story years ago... Broken Wing Dragon. Please forgive me for the mention of the book, but it can easily relate to two of the stories in this video. I enjoyed listening.

I recently moved south from New England. So the whole religion thing down here has taken a little getting use to. Around my new home, it’s common for strangers to ask you to be a guest at church. I met a woman and her husband and they were seriously so nice and although I’m neither here nor there about religion I took them up on the offer. I honestly just wanted to form a connection with them since I felt so lonely here at first. After the service they were insistent I go back to their house for lunch. And I mean of course I did. But no more than half an hour of being there they get in there car and just drive away. Like I was sitting in the outdoor area and they had gone inside for a minute. But then I see there truck going down the dirt road away from the house. Never said anything to me. Never saw them again. And I’ve driven by the house but it’s a long driveway so I don’t see anything really. I never even got creepy vibes or anything. But like who does that?

    1. They probably stumbled on a Satanic church
    2. Could be or could be not a man trying to scare them or something else
    3. Cults could held a meeting from anywhere including an abandoned church
    4. Okay I have a story for this as well.
I'm a servant for the church so, in simple terms, I'm a Roman Catholic. I remember one-time where I was serving from scheduled serve, and while the mass is still on going, a church goer comes to me and said, "Have you seen my purse?" "No, ma'am." And I could tell from the tone of her voice that she was in a panic, and then when I was finished on my scheduled serve and was already leaving, I saw a police officer is on the patio doing his job, asking questions and stuff. And then, the next day where I was on my scheduled serve, and the mass was almsot done and was already in the announcements. As usual, our parish priest will say something important to the church goers related to the announcements, but this time, he reported, "Last night, our cctv camera's picked up a man who is roaming around inside the church grounds. And it took someone's purse." I was shocked, and I asked the woman who asked me where her purse were, "Excuse me, ma'am. May I know what's inside of your purse." She said, "Everything. Credit cards. ID's and other stuff."
This goes to show that be attentive to your personal belongings, all places are considered not safe even churches. You never know when an individual would take the most important belongings from you.

I'm glad that 8 year old was so aware of their surroundings. sadly not many children are. My mom would give me talks about people who could hurt me, but she wouldn't phrase it like that. She would go full into detail about the touching and possible pregnancy or killing as the aftermath. She gave me these talks at a very young age, like 6-8 years old. Since then I've been very aware of what goes around me. Call it paranoia or anxiety or precation but its saved me many times. The amount of times I've been looked at, followed, groped, and threatened BEFORE I became an adult is alarming. Now I'm almost 20 but I managed to avoid terrible fates by doing the smart thing in running, alerting someone, or hiding. So even if you think your children or any other relative is too young for these talks, it's best for it to be YOU who has this talk with them, and not after something traumatizing has happened to them.

The 1st one I was thinking some old unorthodox church but story 3, I don’t know but I speculate it might be some sort of white supremacy group, I could be wrong. Because Masonic lodges operate usually at night and in secret usually out of sight from people. It’s not hard to tell who the masons are by their attire and symbolism like the compass and ruler symbol. They’re also usually men but there are women too who join these types of cults under a different name. The scariest thing about church is that there are people so unintelligent as to believe in invisible magic old men in the sky. The fact that so many people can’t tell the difference between mythology and reality in the 21st century is truly terrifying.

There something about weird church experiences that I find especially creepy and that eerie harmonica sound at the end of the video fits so well with the subject. Mr. Nightmare always has the best background audio.

I’m so happy you posted again Mr. Nightmare! This video was extremely eerie today! I loved it! It’s so disgusting and heartbreaking how someone can pretend to be of God and be around others that truly are of God and molest and hurt their children. I just hope and pray justice is being served for those children and their families, it will definitely be served for the abusers when their time is up..
Please stay safe everyone! God bless y’all! 🤍🫶🏼

One thing to know about rural America, and I mean really rural....like "300 people in a town rural"....is that there are a LOT of small churches and cult communities out there. The sort of places where literally the whole town is related to each other in some way, shape, or form. And everyone attends the local church. They are, generally speaking, not welcoming to outsiders.

    when using a Ouija board:
    1. NEVER do it in a graveyard/cemetery.
    2. NEVER do it alone.
    3. NEVER do it at midnight.
    4. ALWAYS say goodbye.
