    Have you been inspired to go hike Percy Peaks yourself?? Let me know if you decide to go hike the trail! Also, what other hikes around New England do ya want to see me tackle next?

    Your Videos bring moments of solace and bliss in this challenging year 2020. Crisply edited and not a lot of blah blah blah like in other Videos. Thanks. Also suggest Mount Kearsage in NH, as it is has a wide open summit with far-reaching vistas.

      Thanks Hugo! That one is definitely on my list! Thought about doing it this past fall but it slipped through my fingers. Hopefully this winter! I hope I provide the proper amount of relaxing nature and then all the blah blah at the end for those interested haha.

    Thanks Adam for such a detailed review of these trails- I find it really helps as a newbie to have the hike broken down the way you’ve done. Taking the time to talk about it by sections, describing things like the blazes and terrain changes really takes the mystery down a notch. I think also as a kid, you had very good instincts- with that many blueberries, there have to be a few bears looking to enjoy a snack once in a while!

      I'm glad you found the video helpful and informative! Especially with this trail being on the "Terrifying 25" optional section of the list, I hope my video could help someone decide if they would include it in their list completion.

    Beautiful view from North Percy Peak! Like the foliage and woodsy trail.

      It was almost right at Peak! too bad i think the rain storm nocked most of them down.

    Did you have the drone track you as you were driving? If so, you're nuts

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's all full automatic! Set it up for tracking while parked then just drive!

    4:27...views like that are very few in the south. There seems to be some man made structure at every turn. I don’t think urban sprawl is as bad there as it is here( North Carolina)

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just have to know the right place to go. The Northern reaches of Maine and New Hampshire are quite empty and just forests for miles!

      @@AdamHoyt I’ve been thru the northeast half a dozen times on long road trips to out of the way places, historic sites etc. I love it there. I noticed right away how good your videos are. Really well done and lots of work and time put in. 👍🏻

      @@AnthropoidOne Thanks' so much for the kind words! I do work hard to make them the most informative and interesting to look at. Just got back from a week of more winter hikes. Had to bail a trail because of 1ft high drifts haha. I hope you enjoy it when ya see it! I just wish the winter weather was a little more amicable to my drone flying.

  • @SmithFarmTilton

    Curious if anyone knows if I can get to this trailhead in winter, or is this on a road that isn't maintained in winter?

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In normal months the road is a gravel road. And then I'm looking at newenglandtailconditions.com and the last entry indicates that the road closed on 12/7/2020

    • @jongray3797
      @jongray3797 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The road becomes a snowmobile trail in the winter, it is not plowed.

    • @AdamHoyt
      @AdamHoyt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey don't knock them. Some of them can be just as inspiring or interesting. I found this hike much more fun and scenic than say Mt Tecumseh which is on the 48!

    • @justkeephiking6525
      @justkeephiking6525 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Some of them are harder and longer, are more remote, are less crowded and have better views than 4ks. Now that I'm done the 4ks I'm exploring and finding some real gems
