+Navket Jha They certainly are unique and make one feel as if they have been (are being) transported back in time! We loved cruising around Kolkata in those cabs! A wonderful time in a wonderful city! Best, T&G
+Navket Jha I'm not Indian and I have been in Kolkata about 3 years. I personally don't like taxi here; it smells bad and bad service though I believe some of them are good. Ola and Uber are better choice for taxi.
Nuy Adams I agree with you. The yellow cabs have gone from bad to worst due to government involvement and party politics. Uber, Ola and the white cabs are good. But, the problem here is if they completely eradicate the yellow cabs, they'll have a market monopoly and will start fixing fares as per their whims and demands. Their service quality will also go down proportionately.
Daria Morgendorffer Thank you for watching!! We have to admit that we get a lot of our musical inspiration from other TH-camrs, like clothesencounters and Claire Marshall. :)

Why did you show the poor part of Kolkata I am damn sure that you would have visited park Street, Victoria memorial etc but you won't showcase those beauties...
I think you guys don't like the less developed areas of India. But as western perspective WE DO. That's the raw beauty!! Something we don't see everyday. If we wanted to see the developed areas, we won't spend all that money and time to go to India. We can just explore some areas in our own countries for that. And we do that sometimes when we go to long drives. Why would someone go all the way to india just to eat on mcdonalds or sip coffee on starbuck. I would want to ride elephant, see taz mahal, and look at old cities, old architectures, go see how most indians live, how they shop, what they buy on the streets. We want to experience the culture bcz it's quite different from us. Life is an adventure!!
@@София-д3р7д That isn't how most Indians live. Just because we don't show off it don't mean we are mostly poor dear. True there is a lot of poverty in my country but the number of wealthy people balances it out. (50-50). Its still far off from the west but we are improving daily and we will soon overtake it one day, god willing.
Aman Singh they actually did another series on the places you mentioned! So no, they aren't just trying to showcase us in poor light. The only recent example of exploiting Indian slum was done by the movie slum dog millionaire. Just like when we visit a different country we go to the places that captivate our imagination the most, same with westerners they want to see the unique parts of India.
Guys, when you're in Kolkata, why did you try those same old boring punjabi-Mughlai thing???😶 You can get that anywhere. When in Bengal, you should have tried some authentic Bengali food, no? 😢 It's hard to get authentic Bengali food as it's one of the most difficult cuisine to make and just like Japanese people, main Bengali staple is Rice and Fish ( Fresh sweet water fish not sea fish ) and it's not easily available everywhere. The best restaurants to try -----> Oh! Calcutta, "Aaheli" restaurant at the Peerless Inn, 6 Ballygunj Place. Do try these out. Loved your vlogs anyway. I'm sure, you'll visit KOL again.
Hey Tim and Glo, what is the music from 2:00 to 4:05 ? It really suits the urban landscape of Kolkata. Do visit places in South India too if you get a chance.

Hey I was just wondering, why do you guys travel so much? Not that it's a bad thing, I love your vlogs but I thought you lived in Shanghai? Do you never Vlog in sh or are you never really home?
DoMo1012000 Hi! Yes, we do vlog in Shanghai and have several Shanghai vlogs on our channel. But usually we only vlog on weekends. Because we've been traveling a lot lately, we haven't been home, which is why we have so many non-Shanghai vlogs. Hope you're still enjoying our out-of-Shanghai vlogs! Thanks for watching!
How did you manage with the food. Everyone I know that's been to india gets sick. I am trying to get enough money to go but really concerned with the food and water. I really love your videos it always makes my day when u upload.
Lazy Travel Days Heya! good to hear from you again! Thanks for watching our videos and always dropping us positive notes!!! They mean a lot to us :) Both Glo and I had trouble with some of the food in India. The trouble being, that it is so DELICIOUS!!! However, we both had digestion issues as we adjusted to the food when we arrived. We avoided any raw food, vegetables and fruit, especially those with a thin skin. Even salads in good hotels could be risky due to the water used to clean the salads. Glo had minor issues and discomfort on our trip, I got seriously sick on the day we departed India and took a while to recover! I am still not sure why as Glo and I ate the same food. We'd recommend buying food that is piping hot and freshly cooked! Only buy and drink bottled water and take hand sanitizer with you to clean your hands before you eat. We hope you have a fantastic time in India!!! Do let us know when you plan to go!!! Click on the description boxes below our videos for detailed info about the places we vlogged about! Take good care, Tim
Lazy Travel Days yes, you should avoid raw/uncooked food and better drink boiled / bottled / purified water. although most of the natives have grown immune to the stomach hazards an outsider may face, still, even a lot of the native practice the same. bengali food is well known for it;s taste and richness, i would suggest you to check out some authentic bengali restaurants - for meals, snacks, sweets and everything. also, if stomach permits, try some streetfood before/on the day of departure, be it fuchka , muri, velpuri, chat or roll. and if anything you find too spicy, then take a reasonable small amount for taste and fill up the rest with plain rice or roti. there is also a small china town, where you may find a bit indianized chinese foods, they are mostly owned by native chinese community. if feel interested, try them, kolkatans just love chinese foods. bengalis love to eat and also to feed guests, so, best wishes and enjoy.
+Lazy Travel Days If you are concerned with the food in India, you could buy food from Supermarkets that come in packets. There are plenty of Supermarket chains in all the cities of India. Try buying readymade food to eat and you would need a microwave to heat them up or cook them. For example, you get flavoured Oats in packets that are so easy to prepare, packet snacks like chips or you could try noodles or biscuits.
