      What’s the story behind it?

    • @nigelgina
      @nigelgina 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It used to have two huts beside it. He put it there to lock his gear up on weekends when he logged in the area. I have great memories of riding a Z50 mini bike with my brother, all through that area. My family left the area in 1987. He always intended to go back and retrieve it, but he has never got a around to it.

    • @Australian4x4Adventures
      @Australian4x4Adventures  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow. That’s super interesting. I didn’t see any remains of Huts around it. But I wasn’t really looking for them either.

    Great videos enjoy the Victorian high country and thanks to the Victorian Government for keeping their tracks open I just like to make one point track preservation we need to all look after the four-wheel drive tracks in Victoria and anywhere for that matter so that they stay open and not have them shut because we have hoons going flat chat through every pothole they can find trac preservation

    Guys, please get your snatch straps untwisted, it's cringeworthy to watch. In addition, i see the chaps sand damper in a few places, but none of them on on the actual strap. Come on boys, basic knowhow like that should be there long before you start doing tracks where you might actually use that gear. I generally enjoy your vids though, keep at it.

    steve awesome vid. cant wait for part 2 and 3. But i have to ask one question. all 4wds in australia have a heavy bull bar. keeping in mind the probability of an animal strike vs the lower fuel efficiency and loss in offroad perfirmance due to weight, dont you think we could do without bull bars?

    • @Australian4x4Adventures
      @Australian4x4Adventures  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Interesting question.
      For anyone who does country driving in Australia a bull bar is mainly for animal strike. But it also has the added benefits of being able to mount spot lights and UHF aerials on as well.
      I personally never seen much of a fuel difference with and without the bull bar.
      Approach angles are generally better then factory bumpers and they make the car look tough as 😆.

    • @hghori1
      @hghori1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Australian4x4Adventures honestly i love the look and was thinking of getting one on the first 4wd i have owned a 2016 pajero v6 3.5 but everybody here in abu dhabi discouraged me because we have enormously tall dunes and the weight of the car has to be light in order to cross those hurdles.

    • @Australian4x4Adventures
      @Australian4x4Adventures  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I personally think power overcomes weight. I’d bolt a bull bar on there and be happy and also look at supercharger to add a few hundred HP.
