I've ran multiple PF Clubs (not gyms) and he isn't wrong.
The pizza thing is a bit overstated. It is once a month, it isn't like there is pizza there every day all day.
But he isn't wrong. It is a subscription based program that makes more money when it is not used than when it is used.

@@brutis41 They can be. But that’s not what they are and you know that, so stop trying to misrepresent it lol. Planet fitness marketed itself out of the new world liberal movement. Whether it was intentionally done for the reasons Alex said or they just got lucky is unknown. However, it still was politically & ideologically-charged, and to the extent that it’s unlikely for those business practices/moves to have been made in an ideological vacuum.

I like PF! They are cutting liability too by reducing equipment more likely to cause injury. They brand it as a beginner’s gym. It’s the first gym I felt at home in. 💜
