Alot of my family members praise my roller skating skills, i was confused because I'm an average roller skater, but apparently, my dad's side of the family loved roller skating when they were younger, but they all dragged their feet on roller skates. Then i realised why they thought i was amazing at roller skates
Firstly I gotta say, I love your humour! Because of weather I was mostly learning skating inside my home, in a really small space and now I realize why I can't do some things because I never have speed 😅 I'm gonna work on my speed more try to be more confident on that
Wait, what?! This is a brilliant tip, I never knew a bit of speed is needed when doing the down town. I bet I'll be fabulous at it now 😂😉. Another great tutorial, thanks!! ❤ Ps. I saw my comment about the outtakes, haha. Still miss those, too funny
Speed is a big factor. The closer you are to stationary whether it be actual whole body speed or leg motion the closer you will be to that feeling like you’re standing on ice. I remember when I was learning one leg snaps I found they were actually easier to do the faster I was going. A lot scarier too 😅 but once I learned to trust it I learned relatively quickly and could do snaps the length of the rink in a short period of time. My instructor would actually tell me slow down 🗣😂! But it was easier for me 🤷♂️ and it didn’t scare me for long. Wearing that gear will help take the fear out of it but by all means bite off no more than you’re comfortable with. Yes motion is your friend on skates. It’s stability.
Thanks so much for this. Would you be able to do top 5 dance move for beginner with the essence of this video incorporated in it?? I'm struggling with staying in 1 spot doing things like the dribbles... 😢
I have lots of in place moves. I think we’ve recently done a set of beginner moves in a video. I’ll find the link. th-cam.com/video/Uf41xuVOLnk/w-d-xo.html
I needed to see this. I have just started my attempt at outdoor skating. I am absolutely terrified. I got my 78a wheels and thought I would just go out and start skating on concrete. NOPE! My first attempt I realized my bearings are super fast, and the second my feet touched the concrete, I thought I was going to sail off into space. So my 2nd attempt I decided to tighten my wheels a bit so they weren't quite so roll-y, but I was still terrified so I barely moved. I almost fell when I went over a rough spot on the concrete, which is most likely due to not having any speed. Even though I have all the protective gear, I am so afraid if I don't have something to grab onto when skating outdoors. Do you any videos about how to get past the fear of skating outdoors, with nothing but you, your skates and the surface you're skating on?
Outside skating is very unforgiving. I have a few outside videos which talk about using the staggered stance and keeping as many feet on the ground as possible. 😉. I’ll pop a few links for you th-cam.com/video/i__KUb2PIjM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/RalOUcnYE2k/w-d-xo.html

Great help as always. Great sense of humor. Heaven knows I need it when I skate
Having fun on the journey is essential. At times skating can be very frustrating. Keeping a positive attitude can make a huge difference. 💕💕
