    Finally, a realistic DIY repair video. Hotter than heck, no lift, no toolbox full of SnapOns, laying in the driveway. Thanks so much for making this video.

    Did you a get an alignment for the rear after replacing the struts? I’m wondering if rear alignments are a thing?

    I do not understand why Caliper has come off. the but bottom strut the but to the right and the bottom bar drops down remove.
    3 nuts on the top strut and it comes out. The rotor might need to be supported

      If it looks like it might put tension on brake lines I take it off and support it because I don’t want issues from stretching the brake line.

    Good video but you did not properly torque all the nuts correctly only the lugnuts. But you did tighten the strut bolts with the vehicle weight on it, just not torque to spec.
    Strut top bolts 30 ft-lbs
    Bottom strut bolt 406 ft-lbs
    Lower control arm bolt 266 ft-lbs
    Caliper bolts 24 ft-lbs
    Keep up the good work.

      Thank you and you are correct on that, they’re all pretty tight according to the size of the bolt.

      Just saying, you don't want the suspension coming apart while your wife is driving down the highway. Good that you put Loctite on the strut bolts but I didn't see you put any on the control arm bolt. Safety first.

    $100 for the set when you roll the dice and compress the springs…

    • @swrvtech
      @swrvtech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My mind set is if the shock is blown out for a long time the spring has excessive wear so it can’t hurt to replace them

      @@swrvtech its also a lot safer just to do the quick strut instea of playing with a hand grenade and compressing the spring
