Hi my name is Cheryl and I am new to your channel I just went back to relaxed hair after 7 years of being natural I want to thank you for the help I have received on how to care for my relaxed hair iam looking forward my healthy relaxed hair journey with your channel thank you!
Great advice! Except, not everyone can stretch out relaxing that long. For me, past 9 or 10 weeks does more harm than good, because shampooing becomes a nightmare & I just lose way too much hair. I like your videos, because your hair looks similar to mines, but yours is longer. I will avoid the Aphogee treatment though, as my hair is low porosity. Thanks again for the tips!
Thanks for sharing these great tips. Sally sells a 32 oz jar of the Elasta QP Leave in Conditioner for $8.79 and a 33.8 fl oz bottle of the ORS Replenishing Conditioner for $12.49.
The avocado one is a good one you just have to put it in a blender to smooth it and it will get very smooth like ice cream Stir It Up try it again it works really well🙏
@@cunningmom8090 :-) my daughter did that for her hair she used and avocado, and some coconut oil, and then she used some conditioner I think it was maybe three four tablespoons of conditioner and it turned out really smooth like stirring up ice cream and she replied it's over here left it on for 30 minutes and her hair turned out really fine I told her I was going to give it a try this was maybe four or five months ago but I have not tried it yet I may do a review of my channel I'm not sure yet :-)
@@domingo8882 avocados are protein so once you do use avocado as a protein treatment follow up with a deep conditioner for at least 30 minutes with heat this will cure the stiffness of your hair from the proteins:-)
So, you mentioned you relax 3 or 4 times a year, how do u treat with the new growth ? For me, the more growth I have the more it breaks when attempting to comb, style, wash or whatever so I do my relaxers every 4 to 6 weeks.....8 if I'm just not up to it 😅. I do have healthy relaxed hair, I just would like some tips on how to achieve length and body (thickness). Less relaxer appointments seems good but how to treat with the new growth and straight ends?
I used to do the same thing amd relax about 7 to 8 times a year but I have done 2 3 month stretches so far by washing, conditioning, letting my hair air dry then combing out. I'll admit, IT HAS NOT BEEN EASY because by the time I get to the stylist, it hurts to separate the hair. Cost is also a factor for me now, that money adds up.
Elizabeth Mcfarquhar ORS is a mild protein conditioner it has collagen protein, but still light enough that you don’t have to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner
You are so right no if &s & buts about it bleach broke my hair off! It weakened my hair. The only way I would recommend getting bleached hair if you wear it short or you have a curl because the hair is always suppose to be super moist & wet with curl products & you may be taking a chance then but its a better chance of it not breaking.
Renette Gordley right I have seen it so many times. I had streak highlights and saw it break and break. And every time I see someone bleach their hair I just observe and over time you see it break off. But yeah unless you wear your hair in a short cut it’s a no no.
I do not use heat at all on my hair. Because I do not need my hair to be straight. I only touch up relax my hair every 12 weeks to make my hair more manageable. No heat on my hair ever.

Thank you and all the best on your journey 🥰
I’m all about minimizing heat too🤝🏾 My scalp is so tender so I let my hair air dry most of the time.

I always say know your hair. You would need to find the best protective styles for you so you can stretch longer.

Sapphire Relaxed Hair ok cool you should definitely do a review of it 😊
When I use avocado on my hair it feels like I am doing a protein treatment. My hair does not feel "soft" as many claim they experience.

so true
thanks for the information. I just start my hair journey 2 months ago. So it is very informative. Your eye color is so pretty, What color is it?
Laverne Pratt thank you. They are gray. 😊
Mom i thought Ors replenishing pak was a mild protein treatment.and not a moisture treatment.am i wrong. Explain
Elizabeth Mcfarquhar the Replenishing Conditioner is a deep conditioner, I’m not sure if they have another product that is a protein treatment.

Hello S.Do you do your own hair.It looks long and healthy.
k ls yes I do my own hair. Only thing I don’t do is my trims.
Hey great video how often should you wash your hair either with a moisturizing shampoo and or conditioner or both?

How do you dry your hair?
@@abahesther3994 I let it air dry, but I detangle it wet, moisturize it and twist it, then let it air dry naturally.
Food shouldn't be used on hair...
Can I get the spelling of the protein treatments please
