They don't know how to use fire extinguisher very well
It was a whole lot of bad stuff going on at once. But in his defense the fire extinguisher was dead. Still not good when the driver has to get his own and put it out.

@@pullonthis I'm originally from Macon Mo when the NHRA/NTPA Grand National first started the track wasn't the best and it claimed quite a few.The year Brent Longs SS Long Machine had a accident was when they decided to take out all the dirt and replace and rebuild it. Then it became a HP track and they had a really good show for a lot of years. I'm in central Iowa now and Rock Valley reminds me of how good Macons track was those first 10-12 years after it was rebuilt.
Appreciate your videos especially the Heavy SS tractors, not often we get to see them around here. My dad pulled light SS for a lot of yrs and I know where his tractor is. He sold it in 93 after a cancer diagnosis and the fella that bought it detonated it the following year. I've had thoughts lately of buying it back and rebuilding it. More I watch your videos and others the itch to get it running again grows. Then I watch one of these wild rides and fires videos and think maybe I'm crazy 😂
That's awesome. I think it would be a great honor to buy it back and pull it. Unfortunately not as many people are getting into the heavy ss classes but it sure is my favorite. The wild stuff is rare mostly. 🙄@@yougonnaeatthat9889

MAN at 15:53 the weight box almost knocked me out of my chair! Glad the driver and sled operator was ok.
That one was pretty rough. Slammed so hard and loud right in front of me.
I'm glad that everyone is ok when the weight box doesn't work that is really scary I've have had that happen
@@robertredmon6387 definitely not a good time for anyone. Luckily it happened to a seasoned driver who knew there wasn’t any weight coming in.
Just rewatched the clip and all did their job, sled operator relies box not moving and red ligthed flagger waved red flag puller did great.
@@jeffharper7579 yep. What happened was the previous clip where the sled went off the side of the track. The transmission that runs the box was not fully in gear and popped out tripping the lights and notifying the flagman. Only thing that could have been done by them was pull the kill but it happened so fast it just didn’t work out that way.
That's a first for me, never seen a sled slip off of the course before. Must have been an exciting ride for the dude riding it.

These guys are quicker than some of the others that I have seen the ones I have seen just slowly walk to the pullers and don't even notice the damn fire
