because it's mostly stupid people that enjoy this type of sport, normal type people dont like this stuff and also it's a lot of responsibility and people i think people just want to help, but they have no training. i am a stupid people also. but it is common to see the track fire people not doing enough to put out fires lol
Ten dudes withfour inappropriate extinguishers all wearing polyester vests. I've seen vids of them using the water extinguisher on diesel tractors. I've also seen vids where the first thing the driver does after the engine goes up is take off their helmet, BEFORE getting out of the tractor. They need the NHRA Safety Safari to come give lectures to them.
And where did you see anything that made you say that? I saw the opposite of what you say. You repeated what 6 other people in these comments and you're all very wrong.
You are right my opinion, everyone thinks ooh fire bad 😲 but most is just fuel or oil and they let most of the fuel burn plus fire in the pipes is not much to worry about and like I said those little fire extinguishers do more than what arm chair fire fighters think. Most people don't even know how to use one, you hit the base of the fire not the top of the flame. Years ago I worked at a plastic factory and we had a fire once in a while and I have seen people empty the extinguisher and never put it out because they hit the flames not to base of the fire. Easier said than done but don't panic in a fire just calmly put it out.
@@randall39 i think it's become part of the sport now, it's just a given the fire people are going to let you be on fire for awhile, i would have my own fire ex system in the truck. i watch these mainly to see how bad every fire crew is, like why do we see them running, none of them hillbillies have an ATV? i honestly dont even know what the rules are or what the guy in the back of that plow thing is doing, i just watch the ones that blow up mostly. but i should go look up what the point of it is though. *edit* i am a hillbilly also, it wasnt like derogatory twords anyone lol
the extra damage the fires do because nobody is putting them out is probably a lot, that first truck was on fire for only 1:07 seconds, it only took them about 15 seconds to put the fire out, but it took allll that time between running around looking for fire extinguishers, its fun to watch unless it's your truck they are letting burn up hah
Its always kinda funny how people shout **FIRE!!!** but yeah we totally can not see that super bright hot exothermic chemical reaction going on, totally not 😹
My dad was a MC at many of these events, an of course we were coming to 😊. This sport is absolutely amazing, an getting more an more exciting every yr with the advance tech in high performance, its always been dangerous but now with the higher rpms, hp,an now the diesels getting up an over what nobody had ever dreamed of its straight carnage an danger in all directions of these beautiful machines when they lay into the throttle. Most serious competitors expect a major issue because they know it takes goin way past design of all the components in order to win so its cross your fingers and skinny pedal all the way down😊. So you wanna have a great watch stay back, way back an watch u wont be disappointed. But just know with the rpms these are turning there are some heavy parts that come out of these unexpected at the same rpms an no way to stop them. Basically the same as a firearm with alittle less control. Fact. Think about that,,ive seen alot
I like it when Bubba turns up with his own 4WD truck and destroys the front axles and gear box in 2 seconds in front of a crowd of dozens. What a waste of time and money.
7:32 definitely a diesel run away, suddenly big fire out of stack and very little black smoke, clear indication of something other than diesel burning, and sudden rise of rpms to a high level and no constant rpm after the rise of rpm
7:44 "Well that was essay to see because we had fire coming out of the stack". Ya, because my guy hit probably 400HP worth of NO2. I figured he would have torched the whole show, but looks like he just shredded the turbo. He probably quadrupled the gas flow coming downstream from the charger, so your going to see a little flame cone out of the stack if its short enough. That doesn't mean a failure is imminent .
one thing you dont do is lift the hood and add oxygen to the fire they should have fire suppression fitted and have crews that know what they are doing
They do that in case the front end comes down fast. You wouldn't want your wheels pointed to the left, while your tractor going to the left, then have a engine malfunction. That would be one hell of a fast turn. Probably would roll a smoker class tractor that sits higher up.
I just watched a video of an F1 crash, took about 2 minutes to put the fire out with all of the equipment at their disposal. Guess us hillbillies aren't doing too bad here.
I think the fires are part of the entertainment... people think the competitors have so much money if they can afford to run and tune those machines aswell as rebuild them after every event If someone hasn't died or suffered from 1st degrees burns from this then I'm very surprised
the flagger at 9:00 can clearly see the wheels are pointing at each other still holding the green flag like "yer gud, give it all she got" .... I thought the point of them was to let the driver know if there is an issue an to stop
Except for the two firefighters at 28:30, every one of these "safety" crews are pathetic. Improper safety gear, most extinguishers were too small, and clearly poorly trained. Even the first fire dept, they didn't have their gear on, and weren't READY to act. There needs to be a minimum requirement for TRAINED and EQUIPPED safety crews for these events. One day somebody's going to get killed because of incompetence.
I could not get over the total lack of safety gear on some of these drivers. No helmet, no driving suit - old mate driving the pickup with the orange T shirt, suffers a fire and gets out with just a cap on. About ten runs later another guy loses his front steering and gets out of the cab and he could not afford to even buy a proper shirt - had the sides completely cut out. I hope they never have a fire, because they would be toast m, to coin a pun.
Very first clip, had to click off video, everybody run up with fire extinguishers and stand there doing nothing until nore idiots walk up and look around and then point to the blazing fire so the first idiots know where to aim the extinguishers , meanwhile the truck just got 1000%mire damage than if a bunch of 5th graders had run up with the same extinguishers and taken care of business instantly, what a fkn joke
What exactly is the point of these slow-motion disasters? I understand NASCAR, IROC, Formula 1, and drag racing, but this seems just totally pointless.
Unprofessional events.... One guy with a fire extinguisher.... There should be TEN guys with extinguishers, or better, firefighter should be involved....
Took my sister on a date to the iowa state fair tractor pull in 94 she took a radiator hose to the clavicle good times
😂😂😂
You wild for this one fam GD 😂😂😂
@CRAZYWHITEBOY87 I should say that I do think tractor pulls are cool but I saw an opportunity and I took it
@@mcgoo721
You killed it bro! 😎
Why is it that every pulling event, you always see people standing around with extinguishers. But not putting out the fire. LMAO 🤣
Most fires go out on their own quickly, using an extinguisher for a flash fire creates more mess then anything
Some of the officials they have a mini fire extinguisher on them and all the pullers have to have a fire extinguisher in there truck/tractor
Dramatic effect, why put out an explosion? The more flames the better (for the fans anyway)

not only that they all dressed in teeshirts and baseball caps
Love the one where they're trying to put out the fire and the sled operator is pulling it backwards over their toes.
10:35 love how the emergency exit is over the burning engine and takes 2 minutes to use
Tractor pulling events continue to have the absolute least competent fire crews.
Right lol. Literally just Bubba volunteered with zero experience

Most are just fuel or oil fires and they let most of the fuel burn off and the little itty bitty fire extinguishers do more than people think.

One person with a pumpcan to put out the fire and thirty seven other "Jim-Bobs" pointing..."over there boss"
After that BOOOM!!!, the crowds goes wild. All expenses are worth every seconds on the track.
Pulling has some of the worst emergency services of any motorsport.
That’s what I thought. No safety gear running around fuel and oil fires with little pissant fire bottles.

Shut up. You said the same thing as 40 other people in the comments and you're all arrogant and wrong.
A couple of those safety crews did a questionable job with the fires ngl.

The giant framework to support the giant vacuum hose to suck all the black smoke up because they're in a tiny stadium.
I love how they try to steer with no front wheels on the ground, or they don't quit when it's clearly going to be a fuck up
Their in a rush. Try to stop a freakin out guy on meth or cocaine😮😅

Gallons of fuel dumping overboard coming to the line and the idiots with the fire exteguishers are sleeping half the time, good lord.

one thing you dont do is lift the hood and add oxygen to the fire they should have fire suppression fitted and have crews that know what they are doing
You clearly don't know what you're talking about, because there's PLENTY of air flow around the engine even with the hood on.
Not one piece of rollbar padding, ring that bell.
them CO2 extinguishers sure is 'spensive! 🔥 LOL
CO2 is pretty much worthless.
Most inept fire control I've ever seen.

Some of these mishaps are brutally costly some are so strong they do a full pull and over run the track some just make me say ouch!!!
Grab your fire extinguishers, and let us spray!
7:54 They let him pull in his ball cap and street cloths with no helmet gloves or fire suit? 🤔
It's hilarious watching these dudes sawing away at their steering wheels with the front tires 2 feet off the ground.

What liquid is that, they're spraying on the fire's ?
Beer.
Fire extinguisher sterbation! 😅
You think they would use heavier spindles on the front . One bounce and they break.
What’s with all the Chevy’s blowing rear driveshafts or front ends?
Good engines, bad everything else.
