It might be one of the amulet choices when you go to any tree. I selected a bird that chirps when there's a hidden object nearby. I got it really early in the game, is it an option for you on the amulet when you go to a tree?
I think it was a pre-order bonus. It's super annoying tbh. It chirps even if you've already found the treasure in the area. Best to follow a walk through once you've beaten the story instead of listening to an obnoxiously "helpful" bird lol
Hey, Trust me. If you died and get back out od depths- Go back to the depths and meet the mask momster. Wait till the mask monster will make one (first) attack amd start to move on you, then charge on him goes and try to slide under him and keep sliding and jumping. I made it at 5th time, but still better than reseting game. Good luck!😊

Yeah it's definitely poor design, I beat it in 2 tries but you really need to pay attention to where he runs off too.
