@@SmokinSigs my first time owning a Glock 31 357sig . I had Springfield .45 & 1911 & mark lll .22 but this Glock 31 I love the most very easy take it apart to clean it out
I recently picked up a Glock 31C Gen 4 and I would’ve loved a 22c gen 4 but now I know I can just get a ported barrel and have a 31C and a 22C with a simple barrel and mag swap
The best thing is to get a lone wolf 357 to 9mm barrel for cheaper shooting. 357sig is ridiculous. In my area it is by far the most expensive handgun ammunition
@@viciousKev i looked at Lone Wolf and couldn't find the benefit over just using Glocks barrel. Why use aftermarket when I can just use OE? Plus, I have 9mm already, not 40. Lastly, 357sig is much cheaper online. Yes in a local store it is crazy for me to buy fmj. Its through the roof. HPs local still aren't too bad on the price in comparison to other calibers. Lastly, 357sig is a high pressure round that is bottlenecked. Its not made to be cheap. It never will be as cheap as 9mm. Not sure what people expect here. At the end of the day, 357sig is high performance ammo. Dont expect it to be cheap. Buy it online as well and its much more affordable. Underwood and Lucky Gunner for example run deals all the time and give free shipping when your cart exceeds a certain limit. That is the way to go. I do agree the prices have shot up like crazy though. You can still find ways around it. I do. Even if the prices come down you're still paying for a bottleneck (more reliable feeding) cartridge. Its a 10mm case necked-down and spits 124gr bullets at 1400-1500fps with muzzle energy at 500-600 pounds all on average. The thing is a smooth feeding hard hitting son of a gun and you pay for what you get. No ammo manufacturers and gun shops are gonna sit 357sig ammo on sale for $14.99 a box for your fun plinking day. Get over that and don't expect it. 357sig was made to match 357mag factory loads in a 4 inch barrel. Which it does and people forget that.
@SmokinSigs yeah ive had a g31 for over 20yrs. Its fun, sounds like a rifle shot. Also penetrates better than 9mm on different metal ive shot over the years like old water heaters and washers. I just cant afford to plink with it all the time.
@@viciousKev 100%. I want a g31 and Ruger gp100 would be nice too. Yeah plinking is brutal. Cheapest I can find is on Lucky Gunner and some other ammo sites with boxes selling for $31.99 a box. Not bad. Like I said its best to buy it in bulk for exceeded cart limits for free shipping. I've seen 357sig fmj for 69.99 for one box locally. No way pal. 😆 Which g31 gen do you have?
@@viciousKev 357sig does sound like a rifle shot. I shot the 40s&w yesterday and was thrown off by the sound. It sounded muffled and deep. I'm use to that loud crack 357sig has now. 😆
Having the versatility to shoot 3 calibers with one firearm is a strategic advantage. How loud is the report with the ported barrel? 357S has quite the blast
I bought Glock 31 357sig couple weeks ago also unbelievable that barrel can switch to 40s&w also that’s pretty nice
@@andrewusugan That's great! How do you like it and how much have you shot it so far? I'm thinking of sizing up and getting the G31 as well.

Its loud. Similar to a 357mag. Love the sound though and doesn't bother me
