Hi. I think this is such a great way to send photos to editors without sending originals. My only question is what do you do when they send it back? How do you relink it back to the original catalog with edits?

It’s actually pretty easy! Here are the step by step instructions that I send to my clients when they get the catalogs back:
      1. Download the Final Edit .zip file with the link that was sent to your email.
      2. Unzip the file. Store the folder wherever you prefer (do not depend on the WeTransfer link in your email as permanent storage or back-up storage). The WeTransfer link will expire after 4 weeks. It is up to you to store this safely.
      3. Open Lightroom Classic CC (Be sure to open the same catalog that you originally exported the catalog from)
      4. Go to File > "Import From Another Catalog" > Select the .lrcat final edit file > Choose
      5. UNCHECK "Preserve old settings as a virtual copy" if you see the option to.
      6. Select Import
      7. To view the imported catalog (edited images):
      8. Go to Library > Select "Previous Import" OR locate where you had organized these photos in a Collection with your corresponding Catalog.

    Hello,
I'm freelancer photo editor, recently I got order from my overseas client. she send me lightroom catalog with smart preview with the total size was 40gb+, it's 9000+ pictures.
So I edit those catalog based on my client requirement. But after that how I have to send this big catalog to my client. Should I send all data back or not? So I did some research and got to know that I don't have to send all files like "helper.lrdata, smart preview.lrdata and preview.lrdata". And I only have to send back file Ircat-data. Is that true or not?
I hope you understand my question. sorry I'm new in lightroom.
    Thank you

I personally send them all. But I believe all they really need is the LRcat-data. So sorry for the delay on responding.
